Chapter 28: Cheaters Clay couldn’t help himself from being in my business. Always. Even after we broke up. He learned my schedule at Castling College every year, obtained information about the men I dated, and where my vacation travels throughout the United States had taken me. Clay sort of resembled a cough that wouldn’t go away. Never. Somehow, someway, he had learned the ups and downs that occurred in my life. The guy zoned in on my world, keeping a friendship alive. I couldn’t see us together; I wouldn’t. Cheaters are always cheats. He knew that. I knew that. Clay had a different perception of a s****l relationship than me. Infidelity just happened to be his gig, all the time, and I didn’t want to be a part of that. It’s the reason why our boyfriendhood of two years didn’t work out.
