You can pull over here, and I can take a taxi home, is what almost slipped out of my mouth after seeing Colby’s name on Dugan’s cellphone. I held my composure together, though, keeping rational and sane. One couldn’t overact when it wasn’t necessary, and maybe that just happened to be one of those times.
Confusion raced through my heart and mind. Who was Colby? And why did Colby call him all the time, interrupting our closeness? What made Dugan think, or believe, that I wanted to be in a threesome relationship, if, in fact, that turned out to be the case?
