The Reckless Marriage

I was in our car on my way home from work! Grayson did not accompany me to work today as he was sick in bed. This was one of the days where going to the office was not enjoyable at all! The only person who could have made it better was Grayson! That was why for the first time for a workaholic like me, going home was something I was looking forward to all day to spend quality time with the man I love and adore. After we entered the compound of our mansion, I swiftly pulled the handle of my door and jumped out of the car in excitement of seeing his face! I did not stop! I could not stop! For some reason, my body did not allow me to do so! Since I did not want to burden Grayson to open the door, I did not ring the doorbell but pulled the keys out of my purse in a hurry and turned the lock of the door. I opened the door and was met with a comfy atmosphere of our home. Something I longed for all day. I tiptoed upstairs into our room to give Grayson who was probably asleep in bed, a surprise! All I wanted was to lie in bed and cuddle in his arms. Slowly, I turned the handle of the door and saw him covered in a blanket, fast asleep. Whenever he would sleep, he had this cute look on his face that was very irresistible! I took off my shoes and kept my purse on the night stand next to the bed and went towards the opposite side where Grayson was asleep. Once I stood in front of him, I saw how peaceful he was. At that time, I remembered all the horrible stuff he went through all this while. I remembered how many nightmares he used to have all this time! The faces of the people who betrayed him flashed before my eyes. My expression soon changed from happy to sad. Since Grayson finally got a peaceful sleep, I did not think it was a great time to awake him from it. I leaned in and gave him a light kiss on his forehead before I could go ahead and get myself ready for bed. However, after I placed my lips on his forehead, I saw how his eyes opened up. I began to rub his forehead and gave him a smile. “It’s ok, go back to sleep!” I told him in a very low voice. He immediately shook his head, grabbed my hand and gave it a tight kiss. “You really think I would sleep when such a gorgeous woman is in front of me?” he smirked. I started to blush a bit and just as much as I wanted to continue with that he was trying to do, I knew his rest was more important for him to get better soon! “Ok that was flattering, but you...need to go sleep now! You want to get better soon right? So, just close your eyes and get back to sleep!” I said while giving him another kiss on his forehead. “Hmm, do you miss me at work?” he asked while lying on his side and looking at me in my eyes. I sadly nodded. “Well, then you cannot tell me to sleep now!” he said before placing his hand around my waist and pulling me into the bed.
