Silence filled the van and Mallory tried to think of a way to break it. “Are you certain?” Jorgen nodded. “We are always referred to as the child of someone and then our clan. Until our parents have passed on.” “Maybe demons do things differently,” Callum suggested. Jorgen met his gaze, slowly shaking his head. “No. Everyone knows how to address us.” “We didn’t,” Brodie said. Jorgen smiled sadly. “You aren’t of my world. I wouldn’t expect you to know.” “Do you have any other family?” Callum asked. “I hope so,” Jorgen said. Callum rested a hand on his shoulder. “We’ll be in Cutthroat Harbour soon and find out if any of them are there.” Jorgen rested his hand over Callum’s for a moment. “Thank you.” He glanced at each of them. “And thank you for the opportunity to visit your world.
