The omega sighed and stood up again, feeling more awake than she should, considering the full moon shining in the dark sky outside. Her eyes involuntarily fell on the bouquet Adrian had sent for her earlier that day as an apology. He was so busy dealing with business matters that they barely managed to see each other. The last time they saw each other was during the weekend in that theatre. With Ellis gone, he had no other reason to be in the Castle.
Her heart fluttered again.
Alphas do not offer bouquets to omegas they do not intend to court, a tiny voice reminded her. With one last look at the cherry and pink flowers, Sapphire dragged herself to the bed and slumped down, staring at the ceiling above.
