Anna’s eyes moved frantically through the throng of people to relocate the staircase and the door leading outside. Cool air nipped at her skin, shivers running down her spine as she stared outside the balcony. The omega couldn’t help but notice the neatly trimmed grass, the carriages parked in the driveway. For a second, she wanted to abandon everyone and rush down, let her feet glide across the cool grass and take in the glow of the moon.
