20 years ago…… Galloping horses raced after the sisters of the dark, their red cloaks swinging in the air as they tightened their hands around the reins. The herdsmen were after them,the herdsmen are known to be witch slayers disguising as ranchers and owners of cows. Sister Bridget the head of their group knew who sent them and she knew who they were after. She turned to stare at her sister Britney,she looked frail and tired,her eyes were heavy and almost closing and so she casted a spell around Britney's horse. “Take her to mount Hor, we'll meet you there.” She whispered to the horse and prayed to the goddess that her sister and the baby remain safe. As the horse galloped away, she saw a arrow heading towards her,from an unknown destination and immediately she needed no one to tell her they were being followed by other people, people from the palace,the palace who had made their race almost extinct. “Sisters we are strong,we will never retreat, we will fight till our last breath to protect the chosen one.” “I'd suggest you stop it right now Bridget, they're all around us, they've got witches powder, the crystal globe,the tunnel and the book of light we're outnumbered and we're going down.” Amelia the second in command said, her eyes turning black and red. “If we surrender,the fight wouldn't be a good one, we cannot give them the satisfaction of knowing they overpowered us,that they're responsible for putting an end to our race. It had taken a struggle for her to survive and search for Kaylan and her mother Britney. Along the way she'd met Lina, lying helplessly on the grass and injured. As time went on,she began to notice Lina had powers and was also a coven witch. “Oh my,i think i left it by the Riverside, come on let's go get it.” They both stepped out of the warm cottage, running through the crowd of people as they laughed,greeted and played with people on the way. “Do you think we'll get to see the prince one of these days?” Lina asked as kaylan chuckled. Growing up, Amelia had forbidden them from speaking about the royal family especially the prince,they dared not talk about him in her presence but Kaylan knew Lina had an undying feeling for the prince. Rumors flew round the kingdom that he was abnormal,behaved like an animal and has killed his prison guards twice. “We could sneak up to the palace tomorrow evening, mother assists in the kitchen so i think it's our chance of seeing him” “Our chance? Tell me.” Charlie asked, pulling their curtains down. “At the riverside,i didn't steal it.” Ivan said, almost in tears as his lips wobbled. “Now come on don't cry,i know you didn't steal it.” She reassured him, pulling him closer to herself as she buried her nose in his hair. He didn't smell nice but she didn't care. What she was worried about was her parents. Their mother was always too drunk to do anything in the house while their father was always at the mine, working his bones out so they were always left alone. She knew who had the bracelet. Kaylan and Charlie are friends but Lina and Amelia aren't aware. Amelia had warn kaylan about being friends with people from the village especially people who lived at the far riverside. “What are we going to do about the bracelet?” Ivan asked, staring at the immobile thing on the table as it glowed. He gasped, turned his face upward to look at his sister. “It just glowed.” He whispered, staring into her eyes. “What?” “The bracelet,it just glowed.” He replied. “Alright, let's leave it in here while we go to the mine father must be waiting for his meal. Where's your bracelet.” “She lost it mother, we went in search of it.” Lina was quick to say as she sat on the chair and began to assist Amelia. Kaylan couldn't believe her ears. They'd agreed on telling Amelia some lies like she lost the bracelet while washing or something. “Do you know what you've done? If that bracelet gets into the crowd, you'll be sought after, your life will be in danger and trust me nowhere,i mean nowhere will be safe for you anymore.” “Why?” Kaylan asked,fear gripping her. “You have a destiny to fulfill, all our sisters died saving you and you just lost what we spent all our coven powers on, you have a destiny to fulfill, you're the cure to save the prince and after that, they'll kill you.
