Stella was the first to start with conversation: "Can I help you, Kyle?" she asked quietly. I didn't know what to think about her behaviour. She looked really nervous and maybe even little bit scared.
Before he could reply, I turned around. There he was. He was tall, even taller than I thought. Standing there in ripped blue jeans and black sweater. He looked like he just got up from his bed. And that was pretty possible considering his messy black hair. Then there were those brown eyes. If he could, he would eat me with that stare. I was sure about it. He looked confused, angry, but also desperate.
I had to do something: "Oh sorry. I already finished with my lunch. I will let you two talk." I said and made him even more confused. I needed to escape, but he didn't let me.
"No! I mean...who are you?" his voice was deep and it made me shiver even more. This is gonna be a tough year.
"Me? I'm Stella's new roommate." I looked at Stella "Sorry, but I need some help from Stella before class. I don't know where to go so, if you could let us be..."
"He has the same class as you." Stella said and I was losing it. Why?! She looked clueless.
"I would prefer..."
"I will take you there." he said not giving me a chance, he took my hand sending electricity through his touch. "Come on."
One last desperate look at my so called friend and he was taking me somewhere through the halls. Of course, people were looking. Vivienne more then others. I could tell that the part of my life, where she wouldn't care about me, was over. Even when it lasted just for a few hours.
I took my hand from his as soon as possible. My body didn't like it and my wolf neither. Stupid bond.
"Who are you?" he asked again walking in front of me. Not looking back. At least I made him confused enough to not ask about our bond.
"I told you. I'm Stella's new roommate. Do you have a problem with that? You really act weird. I don't even know you." I said.
In that second he stopped. It was so quick that I almost bumped into him.
"What are playing?" I could smell him, I felt his breath on my face. It felt so good. His smell was driving me nuts and his gaze was so intense I felt like melting right there on that spot.
My strategy wasn't really working out and I was loosing it.
"It is you...right? I can feel.." slowly he was getting even closer.
"Remember your vow!" I shouted at myself in my head.
I jumped away. It took all my strength, but I had to.
"What are you talking about? Are you crazy or something??" I practically ran away. Thankfully we were really close to dressing rooms.
"Could you at least..." I didn't hear the rest as the door closed behind me and he was stuck on the other side. I was standing there, shaking... I seriously needed some plan...but there wasn't much to do....if he knew about Dalia, he would hate me. It would be easier just to tell him about her but it felt nice to be just Alice, the new girl. With no past. No one looked at me badly, no one assumed that I was the bad one. No one really noticed me...except for him of course. Also I really wasn't sure I could explain what was going on...there was still too much that I didn't know.
I turned around and there was already few of my classmates. They were chatting...some of them laughing about my weird behaviour. It didn't really matter. I stayed quiet and listened to them. They were either talking about school or about boys. I didn't really pay much attention, but then something draw my attention. His name.
"I would really like to know what happened to him...Since beginning of this year, he is really weird. Not like Kyle we used to know." I could hear this tiny brunette say to her friends. They were sitting and listening, obviously really interested.
"What about Viv?" one of them asked.
"Nothing much. She told me that after the end of last year, she really though he could be her mate. And he also cared about her back then, but after that the communication stopped. She thinks there's someone else in it. Someone from summer break. Can you imagine?" she laughed.
"No one in their senses would come against her." someone replied. "What is she gonna do about it?"
Brunette smiled: "She will make him come back crawling."
I should be happy. Someone would solve my problem. But no. I was f*****g furious.
"MINE!" I couldn't hear anything else. Just hissing from my wolf, Ama. We didn't talk very oftenly and after the accident she disappeared for weeks...I really though she was angry with me. As everyone else. And there she was, reacting to this.
"No, don't say it. He belongs to Dalia." I told her in my head.
"She isn't here. And he belongs to us. I told you before, but you never listen."
"Don't say that EVER AGAIN!" I yelped back at her.
