Season 1 Episode 1-Emails After Death: The Truth He Left Behind
I never believed in ghosts. Not even a little. For me, everything had a logical reason. If something strange happens, there will be some explanation. That’s what I always believed. But what happened that week… completely changed my thinking. It started with a simple email. That day, I was just sitting in my room, scrolling my phone, doing nothing serious. Then suddenly, I got a notification. An email. I didn’t think much at first. Just casually opened it. But the moment I saw the sender name… I froze. From: Karthik For a few seconds, my mind just stopped working. Karthik was my best friend. And he was dead. Not missing. Not out of town. Dead. Murdered 3 days back. Still, the police said it was suicide. Case closed. Everyone accepted it. But I didn’t. Because the night before he died, he called me. I still remember that call clearly. His voice was not normal. He sounded scared. Tensed. He said, “Bro… if something happens to me… don’t trust anyone.” I asked him what happened. He didn’t answer properly. Just told he will explain later. But… that “later” never came. Next day, he was dead. Now I was staring at my phone again. An email… from a dead person. My hands started shaking a little. Still, I opened it. Subject: You missed something Inside, there was just one line. “Check my laptop. Blue folder. Don’t delay.” That’s it. No explanation. No attachment. Nothing. I kept reading that line again and again. Was this some prank? But who will do this? And how can anyone use his email? Or… Did he send it before he died? Too many questions. But one thing was clear. I had to go to his house. Within 20 minutes, I reached there. His house was locked. Police seal was still there. For a second, I thought of going back. But then… his voice came in my mind again. “Don’t trust anyone.” I didn’t know why… but I felt like this was important. So I went to the back side of the house. There was a small window. We used that many times before to sneak in, just for fun. But today… It didn’t feel like fun. I slowly entered inside. The moment I stepped in, I felt something strange. The house was too silent. No sound. No movement. Everything looked normal. Too normal. That’s what scared me more. I went straight to his room. The door was slightly open. I pushed it slowly. Inside… everything was exactly the same. His bed. His table. His things. And his laptop. Still there. Just waiting. I went near it. For a second, I just stood there. I didn’t know why… but I was feeling nervous. Then I slowly opened the laptop. It turned on. Password screen appeared. I tried his birthday. Wrong. I tried his pet name. Wrong. I didn’t know what else to try. Then randomly… I typed my name. And pressed enter. It unlocked. Just like that. That moment… I didn’t feel normal. Why my name? Why not anything else? It felt like… He expected me. I pushed that thought away and looked at the screen. There was only one folder on the desktop. BLUE Nothing else. My heartbeat increased. That email came to my mind again. “Check my laptop. Blue folder.” This was it. I slowly moved the cursor and clicked on it. The folder opened. Inside… There were many video files. Around 10 or 15. All with different dates. My hands were slightly shaking now. I didn’t know what I was going to see. But something inside me said… This is not going to be normal. I clicked the first video. It started loading. Screen turned black for a second. Then… Karthik appeared. He was sitting in the same room. Same background. But his face… It was different. He looked scared. Very scared. More than I had ever seen him. He looked directly into the camera. And said slowly… "If you’re watching this… I’m probably dead." My heart stopped for a second. I leaned closer to the screen. I could feel something was very wrong. Very serious. Karthik took a deep breath. Looked around once. Like someone might be listening. And then he said something… That changed everything. "I found something… big." The video continued. But at that moment… I heard a small sound behind me. A soft noise. Like someone stepped on something. I froze. Slowly… I turned back. (…to be continued)
