“WHAT ABOUT CADEN?” I asked, still not letting her in.
She frowned. “He’s a murderer. He killed his stepbrother. My fiancé. Phalen’s father.”
My eyes widened in shock. “Do you have proof of what he did?”
“Nothing concrete,” she admitted. “But, I do know he was the last person to see him alive before he ‘disappeared’.”
I stared blindly past her. All I could think about was Phalen, living with a murdering child molester. I prayed that Social Services removed her from Caden’s home after the tip I left.
