SHE DIDN’T SAY anything and I wanted to kick myself.
What in the f**k had I been thinking?
Here, I’d told myself to wait and take things slowly. Not scare her away. But then our eyes met and I knew right then and there that I loved the woman with every fiber of my being.
“It’s okay if you don’t feel the same way. I just... after talking to Hoss today, I knew I had to tell you how I felt. It couldn’t wait.”
And still she just stared at me in stunned silence.
I laughed. “Well, s**t. This didn’t go the way I’d planned. Although, do people actually plan these things out? Maybe that’s where I f****d up.”
