The rain had started drizzling when the cab Roland took pulled over on the roadside in front of his family home. Roland glanced out the window at their humble two story building, mind racing back to everything that had happened in Zoey’s father’s estate. After the long run from the last two nights back, and the standoff earlier today, he was back home, finally able to breathe the fresh air that comes from being surrounded by people that really loved him. “They may have the power and the riches, but they don’t have this,” Roland said to himself.
