Samantha is a seventeen year old girl who seems to have it all. Beauty and brains, because she is in an extraordinary advanced school programme. She is also extremely good at sports and people liked her right away. From the outside it looks like she has everything, but no one knows what she hides behind her smile.

After an incident Samantha decides she has to leave her old life behind, but she can't leave her little sister with her mother. Eventually she and Emma move so they can live with their aunt and cousins. There she gets the life she always dreamed about. A normal and stable life, where she is loved and cared for.

She starts to trust people and she even begins to believe in love again. Alexander is handsome, sexy and the most caring person she knows. He loves her, but he knows she is hiding things for him and her family.

How could she not? Nobody could ever find out about her past, because they would never look at her the same way again. An encounter with someone from her past leads to her secrets being revealed and Samantha is once again caught up in the life she had tried so desperately to escape

Prologue
-Samantha's POV I will be fine. I look at my reflection in the mirror and I repeat that sentence in my head.  I will be fine, I will be fine. I don't pay much attention to the chatty hairdresser until the woman removes the foils and starts to rinse out my hair. It's official now, I'm no longer a redhead. My hair is now dark ash brown, but it will be lighter when it's dry and I look at the picture on my phone. I don't recognise the girl in the picture, just like I don't recognise the girl I see in the mirror. ''Are you really sure about this colour, dear? Don't get me wrong, it is a nice colour. But you had gorgeous red hair! Maybe I can put in some highlights to make it all pop a little?'' I wonder for a moment, pretending that I'm thinking about her suggestion. Of course my hair looks boring compared to my old colour, but I choose this colour for a reason. Not that I'm going to explain that to the chatty hairdresser. ''No highlights, I like it like this.''  I can tell that the hairdresser is disappointed, but I couldn't care less. This was the final step I needed to take. No, the second last step. For the last time I look at the picture on my phone, before I press on delete. I turn my attention back to the girl in the mirror and I take a deep breath.  I will be fine, I will be fine, I will be fine.
