First party

WINTER As soon as I stepped out of Kellen's car, the impression of being in another world glided through me. Though the majestic structure before me has the same indistinguishable circular lawn found in all the houses in this town, it was by far the best I have seen so far. The lawn itself had a professional pinch to it, as the flowers despite being of different species were arranged together as their colours were of the same hue. I could only identify three out of the flowers which were the poppy, red rose and funchias because I had seen several of them during botany. It made the garden romantic and a special spot for cou... A deep throaty moan cut my admiration thought. Squinting my eyes to access where it was from, I noticed a bleached blonde haired girl and a boy which I couldn't see were eating their faces out. I gagged, moving to the entrance. My hand moved to twist the knob but met air instead as a brunette stumbled out, ramming into me. I yelped as I slammed my back into Kellen's chest. He moved a bit because of the impact and his hands reached out to steady me. “Easy." He grunted. "Thank you," I murmured, blushing at the warmness of his large hands. I swerved as another tipsy girl staggered out. What was with people getting drunk? The party had barely started an hour ago but I could see several students puking their guts out beside the entrance. Some were already passed out, sprawled on the couch, snoring noisily. I rolled my eyes as I saw a girl, slightly younger than I was, crying and giggling at the same time. The effect of taking too much to drink, I presumed. She looks like a junior but not from our school as I noticed the varsity on her shoulder. I wondered who invited her in the first place as the party was meant for only seniors and college students. She had probably tagged along with her boyfriend and he was drunk or didn't care to watch what she had been doing. The haze from a cigarette was puffed in my face, clouding my vision. Gasping, I fanned my hand across my face and coughed as it chokes me. As if it wasn't enough, a hand grasped mine, dragging me along with him. I let out a shriek which was futile as it was impossible to hear because of the speaker blasting at the highest volume. Rotating disco lights strung my vision and I bumped into several bodies on the way. My abductor released me as soon as we got to what looked like the backyard and It was slightly quiet, save from the noise from the boys playing pool and girls splashing themselves in the pool. A mini dance floor was situated not far from where I stood which was close to the bar. I veered around to see I had lost Kellen. Great, just great. I wondered how I would find my way back. I whirled back to my abductor to berate him since it was his fault. My breath hitched in my throat as my gaze latched on an unknown pool of stormy grey eyes. He had an angular jawline, flat cheeks and full kissable lips. He was tall, probably six inches above me, my eyes moved from his face to his expensive sneakers clad feet, then to his face again. A smirk appeared on his face as he caught me checking him out. He tugged me towards him and I gasped as the hardness of his chest hit me despite being clothed. He sure has strong abs and grip! "I'm Aaron, " His voice had a husky tinge to it, adding to his sexiness. "What's yours?" "Winter." I stammered. "Cute name." He smirked, baring his teeth, giving out a wolfish look. The alarm in my brain went off but me being a sucker for cute guys, stood there, reddening under his scrutinizing gaze. My hand lifted to twist a lock of my hair as I became shy all of a sudden and my gaze wandered away from him to the mini dance floor where other students kept grounding their bodies together. "Dance with me." He coaxed, stretching forth his hands. He clasped my hands without me telling him to do so. "Back off, Aaron," Rey rasped, appearing out of nowhere. As he drew closer, his eyes narrowed at our joined hands. His gaze darted to mine and I stared at him blankly which made him more irritated. So, did they know each other? Only, God knows how many people Rey was acquainted with. "Back off, Aaron." Rey gritted his teeth and his eyes glinted, turning icy blue. "She isn't with you," Aaron gloated, stating simply. The truth and he was getting worked up for nothing. It felt like I was sandwiched between two different predators deciding on who to pounce on me first. Rey kept throwing daggers at him through his eyes whilst Aaron was so relaxed, probably on a mission to rile him or he was just this mischievous. I presumed it wouldn't end but I was glad it did as a petite dark-haired girl with a rare violet eye or maybe a fixed contact lens sauntered towards us. She seems slightly older, probably a two or three years difference. A black and blue striped varsity, which was what the Rosewood college football players always sport on, was draped on her shoulder. "Aaron, been waiting for you." She said with a southern accent. Her eyes lingered on Aaron's hand, then back to my face. "I'll be with you soon, babe." Babe? Rey's gaze held a rather satisfying tinge as I snatched my hands away from his. "Rey!" The girl shrieked as soon as she noticed him. "Kendra." He breathed but his eyes didn't leave mine. Even as she went to hug him, it still stayed on mine. "Chill mate, she's all yours, " Aaron drawled the last part whilst patting him on his shoulder. Rey grunted in response. Like I was a piece of meat. I let out an exasperated sigh, my fist clenched tight to prevent me from smacking Aaron's pretty face. Immediately they left, Rey ambled towards me, he hoisted my hands above my head, scrutinizing it. "What?" My questioning gaze shot up to his narrowed ones. I didn't want to talk to him because of what happened earlier, however, I had no choice but to since he was fussing over me. "Are you hurt?" "Do I look like I am?" I retorted. Shaking his head, he chuckled, "But steer clear of people like Aaron in house parties like Owen. There are a bunch of others like him, waiting to get into your skirt." "Like you are one to talk," I said. "I don't chase skirts. They come to me rather." He deadpanned. "Excluding my skirt though." "Are you sure about that?" He murmured, drawing near. My comeback got stuck in my throat as Lee surfaced. She scowled as her gaze landed on the compromising position we were in. "You left me on the dance floor." She hissed. "I thought you weren't coming?" Her gaze eyed me, up to down. "I changed my mind." "Okay, good for you." She dismissed, coming to stand in-between Rey and me. She snuggled into him, with her head on his chest and Rey patted it awkwardly. I pivoted, glancing elsewhere not prepared for the PDA. "Bye Winty, take care of yourself." Lee gave me a side hug and clutch Rey's hand dragging him with her. "I will," I mumbled to their retreating back. Now that I'm all alone, what am I supposed to do? I mused. "What would you like to take?" A buff guy, with extremely tanned skin and a buzz cut, asked with a boyish grin. "Anything," I shrugged since I have never been to a party before. This would be my first alcohol and that would be if he precisely offered it to me. "Anything?" His dark eyes glinted whilst stroking the five o'clock shadow on his chin. He came back bearing a sparkling liquid in his hand, he handed it to me and without imploring what it was, I gulped the content down and regretted it immediately as it burnt my throat. My eyes watered as I wheezed, choking in the process. I thought I would die until someone came stroking my back. "Here." I glanced up as a hand with sealed water in a plastic container rested on the bar counter. "Kel..." I coughed out as my gaze met his. "Don't say anything. Just drink this." He went further to open the water, and I gulped down but it didn't entirely erase the whole sensation of the lightheadedness I was feeling. My vision dimmed as I lifted it to Kellen's. He brought the cup to his nose and grimaced. "Why did you add weed to her drink?" The bartender shrugged, enraging Kellen in the process. I have never seen Kellen furious. Despite being tipsy, I could sense the aggressiveness he emitted. "Don't you ever flipping do that again?" He cussed, grabbing the bartender shirt. The guy swatted his hand away. "Jesus, I never knew she was your girl. Thought she was a random slut." He pointed out. "Kellen..." Kellen ignored him and veered around as I mentioned his name. "Come In, time to get you home." He assisted me as I came down from the barstool. Hastily, I wriggled out of his grasp as my shaky limbs touched the floor. I wobbled as I trotted, bumping into sweaty bodies. Despite the deafening music, the people at the pool table halted as I screeched. I pushed all the balls into the hole and mounted the table. Staggering, I peeled off the jacket Kellen had draped over me and flung it in the air. My hand went to the back of my clothes to unzip my dress. I was too delirious to comprehend if I was doing the right thing or not but I could care less anyway. I solely wished to enjoy the night and I was driving to it on my way.
