Chapter Eighteen
Ramsay had started to become concerned with Kara. It seemed that with the increase in her workload, she was becoming increasingly tired, even showing signs of exhaustion at times. As there was a lull in general activity in the company, he thought it was a good time to have a word with her about it. He stood by her office door, considering what he was going to say, and then proceeded to knock.
“Come in,” Kara called out. “Hello, James. What can I do for you?”
“Kara, you’ve taken to your new role with aplomb. I’m pleased that it’s working out.”
“There’s a but isn’t there?” Kara asked, looking concerned.
“I only want to talk to you and help you along. It’s nothing to worry about. I noticed that you have looked tired lately.”
