Ryu’s way of thinking wasn’t wrong but he is surely too naïve. After the top 50 archers were shown, the next will be archers in the 51-100 place. After he saw through their performance, he knows that his chance of winning is actually decreasing even more. Most of the archers managed to get 70-80 points easily and it seemed that they do it easily. They are still hiding their trump cards and what is shown is clearly not the best extent of their true ability.
Since Ryu’s ranking is in the 200, he is in the fourth batch to enter the testing ground. Guided by the NPC and after seeing what happened before on the screen, he more or less knows what to do this round. The point actually doesn’t matter much, it only signifies the ranking. Even if you got five 10 points target, it doesn’t even matter
