Aurum Isle
she stepped off the private Jet onto a sunkissed tarmac. she sighed deeply. taking a long breath in as the breeze hit her radiantly glowing face. All she could think about at that moment was, nothing. In fact she knew when she stepped foot on Aurum Isle she had to leave the troubles of her home, at home. "Alessia, your bags have been loaded." she almost didn't hear Luca, she was so immersed in the breeze and the fact that her troubles had all just evaporated. "Thank you Luca." she turned faced him and smiled. she walked alongside Luca, taller than him in height but that was her wedge heels extending her length. If she were to take them off she would have lost her towering presence. Toffee brown colored hair, with hints of gold and flaxen streaks, all due to the sun giving it a natural glow, was so far from Luca's natural black deep rooted Italian hair. The curls that matched were a sure sign they were related. Their eyes matched in shape. when she smiled at him, he saw himself in a mirror. You could see that it was genuine. He melted with her looks, doe eyes. Amber eyes with flecks of Gold, far from his deep brown eyes. "Do you remember when we were kids?" "Gee yeah! with no responsibilities?" she laughed, "Yeah! Nona took us here every summer." "yeah, I remember... now I'm getting married, and I have to give my life up." "Now Cuz, This is your last weekend of freedom." Luca smirked, opening up her door for her. " such a gentleman." she rolled her eyes getting in the car. Luca ran around and got into the driver's seat, "besides, I think it's so totally unfair that the girls in our family get married off, to strangers, and here you guys are, living a free life." she added, once he was in. "Sia, it's not so easy, Nona did it. your mom did it. my mom did it... it's just part of life, to carry on the family blood." Luca sighed out feeling very sorry for his cousin. she shook her head and focused on the road ahead. "home sweet home! at least for the weekend!" Luca clapped his hands, jumped out of the driver's seat, ran to open Sia's door. " Thanks..." she simpered, "Can we slow down on the body guard duties perhaps? Just for this weekend? My dad's not around so you don't have to put on a show.", "A show? this Is me being a Gentleman. You've already asked me to not body guard and I'm not. This Is me, being me." she giggled, and then pulled her roller bag. The cobblestone led all the way to the Garage, a newly built house, with modern, ceiling to floor windows faced them. Luca put the key into the large and intimidating pivot door that looked like it could fit five men through at once. It was not the original house on the Isle, a lot of the wealthy had bought there. It so happened that Sia and Luca's Grandmother had been one of the founders, and owned most of the Isle. The newly built house, with modern furniture and marble surfaces, was a gift to the cousins, So that in their future, they too, could bring their families and enjoy the Isle. The best view was from the balcony of the main bedroom, Sia's room. If you looked towards the beach, it was right there on your door step. it looked as if the sand was mixed with flacks of twenty four carat Gold. "Do you want to eat something before we go out and meet the others?" Luca screamed from downstairs. It was quiet, peaceful, so Sia heard everything he said. "what did you say?" she shouted back, walking towards the staircase giggling quietly. This time he had his hands around his mouth, in a way to make him louder. "Did you want..." he started shouting but stopped when he saw her laughing. "you heard me?" she nodded, "the Isle heard you." It wasn't long, they had both eaten and showered, Sia straightend her and applied her makeup. she put her shoes on, and with one last look at herself in the mirror she spritzed some of her perfume on her neck and wrist. It was musky, with a french vanilla undertone but also a bit of rose. she walked out of the room and met up with her cousin, who was smartly dressed, downstairs at the bar. "you look stunning! I'm sure your new husband will love you!" "you look dashing yourself but..." she raised her clutch purse up, and started swating him with it like he was a fly. "why. Do. You. Mention. It. Every. Chance. You. get!?" with every word she said, she swatted. He cowered but was laughing. "Don't break your bag!" he said chuckling as he patted her shoulder. "I'm reminding you, because you are strong, and, well you need to behave yourself. you are to be betrothed" he chuckled again. "I would only wish this on my worst enemy. At the moment it's you..." Sia rolled her eyes and took a swig of her fruity alcoholic drink her cousin had made her. Luca laughed back as a response. They could joke about the serious things, Sia knew that it was light hearted fun even though it was at her expense. They arrived at the only Bar in town, where they would meet up with some resident friends of theirs, people who lived and took care of the Isle. Entrusted to and even passed down the positions through their heritage. "Man! Aren't you a sight for sore eyes?!" Sia heard a shout from across the room as soon as she entered the bar. "How sore are your eyes really?" she Shouted back teasingly.
