Chapter 1 Sara's POV The Fae islands are beautiful, especially at this time of the year, and today I’m so grateful to have Oliva in my life. She is the best friend anyone can have. Even though in our world we really shouldn’t be friends. You see she is a witch and I am a wolf shifter. By the way, my name is Sara. But when my dad Alpha of the Kent Moon Pack told me he arranged a marriage for me and the son of the Alpha of the Dark Moon Pack. Oliva is the one that helped me run and hide she even disguised my looks with a little bit of magic and is staying with me. You see wolf shifters have fated mates our other halves, that we can find when we turn 18 and shift for the first time. I have had my wolf for two years now and have yet to find my mate. So my goal while I’m hiding from my dad is to finally find my fated mate. I will not be trapped in a loveless marriage like my parents where my mate brings home other she-wolves to be in his bed like my father does to my mother. I want to marry for love and want a chance to find my fated mate. So here I am with Olivia at a popular supernatural vacation spot on a fae island, hoping to find my fated mate before my father finds me. “Earth to Sara” Olivia chimes “Sorry I was lost in my thoughts, what’s up” I reply “I was trying to point out some real hottie that dived into the pool just now” Laughs Oliva. I follow her line of sight and a well-built man of steel climbs out of the pool. Holy hell she is right he is a real hottie! “Well damn, he is yummy! Ha ha, Olivia, you must wipe some drool off your chin.” I say laughing at her. She stands up throws her towel at me and says well I think I need a drink. “Wonder if he will let me lick my drink off his hard abs.” She says as she walks away. “Go get him girl” I shout out to her. While she is going to hunt down herself some man candy I decide to grab my phone and check my emails. Yes, I’m in hiding but I have still been emailing my mother secretly. I love my mother, she is the strongest wolf I know. The pain she has lived through all her life and she is still the best mother my twin brothers and I could ever ask for. So I still check on her and even my annoying brothers even though they are about grown at 16 years old now they will be getting their wolves in two years. I have one new email from my mom. My dad still has some warriors out looking for me and now Alpha Michael has sent a few of his warriors to help in the effects as well. I asked my mom if she knew where they were looking. So I know if Olivia and I need to leave here. I will not tell my mom where I am so dad can’t get it out of her through what little bond they do have and Olivia is a badass witch who has my phone spelled so it can’t be traced when I do email my mom. I won’t call because I don’t want anyone to be able to hear the background noise and figure anything out. Email is the best and safest way to reach out to my mother. “Your mother will be fine she is strong and a fighter.” Lynn my wolf says in my head, oh yeah our wolves are part of us but also their sprit as well. “I know you’re right, I just worry about her. She deserves a better life” I reply “She is still young for a wolf, things can still turn around for her, have faith” “Goddess, I hope you're right Lynn” Olivia strolls back with a big smile, which means she made some kind of progress with the eye candy. She plops down on the lounger next to me, looking at me with the puppy eye she attempts when she wants something. “What do you want?” I ask “It's not an ask it's an I made plans for us tonight” She beams. I groan, “With the hottie, or did you find new eye candy?” “Both,” she says “WHAT!” I kinda shout SH she says “Well, we need to go out and be around guys right you are trying to find your fated mate. Well we got invited to go to the hot new club the Cedar Den” Olivia continues, “It's rumored the Alpha King’s son is on the island and will be there tonight and I got us invites.” “Holy s**t Olivia your joking” I gasped. “Nope, you see the guy next to my eye candy, that is the upcoming Beta David, Prince Will’s best friend. Just as Olivia was telling me about David he turned and looked at me and waved at us. Of course, Olivia beamed and waved back. I on the other hand was shy as hell and just nodded. She turned and looked at me and said “We will hang out here for another hour then let's go check out some shops for new outfits for tonight” “Do you need new clothes for every night out?” I asked, I have money but with trying to hide from my family I can not use my bank card it's to easy to track me by using it. Olivia has been amazing and flipping the bill for everything but I’m starting to feel extremely guilty that she is paying for everything. “Yes girl, We have to be the highlight of every party we go to. Besides, Daddy doesn’t care that I’m spending this money and he loves you as a daughter as well and truly doesn’t care so stop stressing that you are using our money.” I take a deep breath thanking the goddess I have Olivia and her father the leader of the supernatural council in my life. “Olivia what would I do without you in my life” She replies, “Probably be stuck at home getting ready to marry that horrible Bruce from Dark Moon pack. Like a complete loser” I laugh, “You’re probably not wrong” Olivia has always loved how shifters have fated mates, it's something she wished witches had as well. The idea when we get our animals there is another wolf out there our other half, our soul mates. I’m 20 and have been hoping for 2 years to find my other half and haven’t found him yet. That is why my father thought it was ok to marry me off to another pack. But I was not ok with that at all. My parents didn’t have one of those marriages where they ended up falling in love in time. No, my father never truly accepted my mother and had mistresses in and out of our pack house all the time. Another reason why I say my mom is so strong is because my parents are marked so each time my asshole of a father sleeps with another my mom feels unbearable pain. When she was pregnant with my brothers she found her fated mate and because she had me and my brothers on the way she rejected him which again was another painful thing to do. Which just made my father laugh, I love my father because he is indeed my father but I hate him for all the pain he has caused my mother. “Alright space cadet time to go!” Olivia says breaking my thoughts for a second time that afternoon. We head back into the resort and zip up the platform to our suite on the 20th floor. Once we are inside our suite we both go into our bedrooms grab clothes and run to each of our bathrooms to clean off the pool and dress for shopping. Yes, we have a large suite with a kitchen, living space, two bedrooms and a bath in each. I was ready before Olivia waiting for her in the living space. Once again I decide since I have a moment to check my emails to see if my mom has responded letting me know if she happens to know where the warriors will look for me. She did respond but sadly did not know anything but promised to try and find out whatever she could for me or have my brother Jackson do so as he has been doing some work with our father training to be the next alpha as he is the oldest twin. Once I was done with checking that, I shouted to Olivia. “Will you hurry up chicka we are only going shopping don’t need to be a model” She struts out looking like a model in the human world and of course, I being the smart ass I am cat whistled at her. She smiles and beams at me saying “Yes I know I’m gorgeous wipe your chin and let go” I gave out a big belly laugh, threw her bag at her, and followed behind her out the door. After trying on the fourth outfit at the fifth store we were at and Olivia still not happy with the way it looked on me I was getting tired and annoyed. “Come on Olivia we have been shopping for two hours. You have found three new outfits for yourself and you say nothing I have tried on is good enough for tonight” “Why!” I continued to whine “There is a chance for you to meet the Prince of Shifters you have to look perfect” “He could be your mate” she continues. “Do you think I’m that lucky” I chimed in Olivia bellows at me as she throws another dress over the changing room curtain. “b***h, your life is about to turn around for the better” Walking out of the changing room in the outfit she threw at me beaming feeling like a beauty queen, “From your mouth to the goddess's ears I hope” I said to her. Olivia jumps up and screams “Hell yeah that's it!” Ten minutes later we were walking back to our resort. As we were walking back I told Olivia about my emails with my mom today that my dad and Alpha Michael have warriors out now looking for me. I let her know that my mom would do what she could to find out where they were looking, and if she couldn’t, she would have my brother Jackson find out. We have been here about 2 weeks and it probably is time to bolt to a new location. But I am not going to think of that for the rest of the day. Olivia has a fun night set up for us tonight and I will not let the thought of my father ruin it.
