Luna Heart

Chapter 2

Luna woke up abruptly from her sleep in the midnight feeling very scared and looked through the window, she had to go to check up on her daughter, but she was fast asleep, still Luna wasn't comfortable because her dream felt like reality, and it's been happening for quite a while now “what's happening to me, why this constant nightmares” she said to herself as she enters the toilet to wash her face but on getting outside, Ava stood in front of the toilet waiting for her, as Luna stepped out she was shocked “You're up” she said looking both left and right, feeling tensed Ava nodded in agreement “You scared me do you know” Luna told Ava “I'm sorry mum, I didn't mean to, I heard footsteps and wanted to check who it was” she said trying to console her mum but as much as Luna tries to forget her dream it keeps playing in her mind and its stored like a journal, both Mother and daughter accompanied each other downstairs, “I need water, maybe it will clear my head” Luna said as she lets go of Ava's hand, as she finished the water, her alarm rang and to her surprise it 5am in the morning, Luna tried gathering strength so she'll be able to teach Ava because she was homeschooled and Luna was her teacher because she was scared that everyone will treat Ava badly and side line her and too of all she doesn't want anyone to know that she's a werewolf.

Luna hurried to take care of Ava and freshen up while she prepared breakfast and prepared the table for teaching. As they finished, she set off to work and, like always, she warned her not to open the door for anyone, and she nodded as always. This procedure had been going on for 2 years but, unknowingly to her, Ava had been sneaking out to see the outside world, but she did it in secret and that's when she met Seraphine, Julian's girlfriend. Little did she know that Ava was the result of what she had done 10 years ago.

Ava went out through the back door as usual and walked down because her house is a very lonely environment, but she kept on walking and almost got lost. She had changed, as she was trying to figure out she saw Seraphine coming her way. She wanted to run, but Seraphine noticed something was up, even with her selfishness, she still got a soft spot for kids, “Hey beautiful, are you lost? I can help you find your way back home or, rather, I'll call your parents as she squats to try and gain her confidence. But everything proved abortive so she decided to leave her, but her guts won't let her, so she had to go back “just tell me where you stay, and I'll take you home” Seraphine said and Ava explained her house to her, Seraphine was shocked because that particular house brought flashbacks, “why do you guys stay there” she asked while they entered her car and drove her home, but Ava didn't reply because her mum had warned her never to talk to strangers, but she had broken the rule so she decided not to reply or tell her anything as they got to her house she entre through the back door while Seraphine stared for a while and drove to Julain's office all dressed up.

As she got to his place of work, she walked straight down to his office looking all dressed up. “Julian” she called out, she checked him in his office, but he wasn't around. How's that even possible, so she had no choice than to ask Luna because she ought to know, “hey, where's your boss.” she said as she walked towards Luna, but Luna couldn't hear what she said because of the distance between her and Luna, so she had to stand up “sorry ma I didn't really hear what you said, can you pls come again” still on her feet, “here we go again” she said rolling her eyes and moved closer but this time around she asked but in a very harsh manner, but she kept her cool as always “He stepped out for an important meeting” she replied, Seraphine was irritated by her look, she just couldn't stand her so she left and went straight to his house because after any meetings he goes straight home so she was certain that it's either he will be at home or he'll come and meet her in his house. Unfortunately, she still waited for hours, but this could only mean one thing, but to make her assumptions correct, she went to take a quick nap. Julian eventually came back home but found his door opened, “this act by only be done by one person” he thought to himself as he walked down to his room and found Julian lying on his bed but as he turns to leave Seraphine stood up from the bed she knew he came in because she's part of the rare werewolves who has sharp senses ‘’where have you been” she said raising an eyebrow, Julian turned to look at her but ignores the question but as he turned to leave Seraphine stood right in front of him, she has lots of powers similar to an Alpha that's why she can do a number of things, “I asked a question here, standing akimbo and with annoyance written all over her face, “don't pretend like you don't know where I went to, I hate pretense, and you are very aware of that” he said as dropped her hands and excused himself, she ran after him and hugged him from behind apologizing and they left.
