After the adrenaline slowly left my body, I began to understand everything I saw. It was so much blood and c*****e. The crisp figures lying in the courtyard made my stomach churn. I had not grown up with so much violence and this being my first battlefield was shocking, and I knew I was not made for this kind of life. Now that Orion was back with my family and me by my side, I could finally relax.
