"You look well...", I murmur, approaching Matteo, who is lying on the sofa in her cabin.
He smiles before sitting down on the sofa, and I see that there's a bandage around his belly. Looking at him at this moment reminds me of how I felt when I saw him bleeding like that, and I saw the fear in Tyler's golden eyes.
"You saved my life, Amelia. I owe you a great debt, and my life is now in your hands.", he says, and I smile, sitting down next to him on the sofa.
"I did what I thought I had to do, Tyler was angry with me, but you're alive, and you're here now.", I say, and he nods.
