Johannes Hertel followed his oldest daughter.
His face is pale and ghastly as he thinks about the horror that he is about to face due to the sudden appearance of his child. Johannes had seen Ada when they announced their wedding before the engagement party, but he brushed her presence as a mere ghost of his past.
It was a disgusting sight for him. He cannot accept that the people who almost destroyed his image in the past are living the time of their lives. No amount of good words would be able to pacify his boiling blood. But he graciously let it go for the sake of his beloved second daughter.
