Shrieks and wails filled the room.
The people creating those sounds showed no sign of stopping as more men entered the dark basement. They knew they messed up, but none of them could understand this development.
Susan and the rest of the housekeepers found themselves in a situation scarier than any nightmare they had.
They were forced to sit on a chair; tied to it; starved; and waited and waited until they could no longer tell the time. They were begging at first, asking to be spared and be sent out of that room.
