Chapter 55 – A Mother's Wrath

“Are you sure you can work now? Your brother told me about what happened to that stalker. Goodness. What is happening in this world? You can’t even be safe inside a decent apartment.”
I laughed off Ana’s grievances.
After my conversation with Calvin, I only stayed for the night in his mansion and decided to go back to my apartment the next day. Calvin even helped me the entire time and made sure that I was safe until I entered my room.
I thought that he would stay and make himself comfortable inside my unit, but Calvin bade his goodbyes right after that.
He occasionally asks me about my condition, yet the man never showed himself in front of me. I finally got the space that I wanted on top of a free apartment that Calvin insisted on me to have.
