Chapter1
Luca Fabrizio is the name, an Italian mafia who cares less about the stupid conduct and rules of life. Who made them, and how is that my f*****g business? They're just mere discrepancies to lure people into bondage well, not me. Luca is the one and only son of Fabrizio Andres and his ever-gorgeous mother, Giuliano. Unfortunately, they're both dead, and it happens to be only him in this cold world. He happened to take over his father's business empire and every legacy he had lived for. His father was a good man. Everyone generally has the wrong impression about mafia members. They are just heartless to those animals called men who seem not to have a clue of what they actually want out of life. Some creatures called men have sworn to be Lucifer themselves, and that is why people like Fabrizio's family exist—to keep them in their place. Luca owns several legal businesses and has helped several people who still don't know it's from the great Luca Fabrizio. He intends to keep it that way for a very long time. He doesn't believe in emotions; he sees them as a weapon, also a trap to keep man in bondage. Luca uses his brain every f*****g second, minute, and hour of his life. As he owns several legal businesses, the government and people in power seem not to make it easy for those hustling legitimately. Reasons why he sees humans as sarcastic, that's why he chooses to handle them illegally if you know what that truly means. It's 6:00 a.m. Luca got a knock on the door of his room. "Come in." It was his caretaker, Anita. She brought his coffee just the way he likes it—hot, no sugar—to his study room. Every five working days of the week, he wakes up at exactly 5:45 a.m., meditates, and moves over to his study room to feed his eyes with words of wisdom. He logically thinks one of the major issues people find themselves in and can't redeem themselves from is that they choose to be empty and have relentlessly felt they need not feed their brain with knowledge. They all act with their emotions because their brains are empty. Stupid creatures, motherfuckers who never fail to seize every opportunity to blame God for whatever they're going through, constantly seeking miracles and expecting God to fix their problems. Jerks, that's all they are—empty-brained, psychotic, naive, ignorant fools. Miss A, his caretaker, as he fondly calls her, has been with him for 25 years of his life. He is currently 28, and she's 55. She started working with the Fabrizio Andres family when he was 3. She's the oldest servant who has worked for them. For 25 years of his life, Miss A has been the one making and serving his tea on time at exactly 6:00 a.m., with breakfast ready by 7:00 after a swift shower. He then comes down for breakfast and thereafter oversees his various businesses. He’s turning 29 by September 1st. Luca doesn't celebrate birthdays—since he was 15, he made his parents not celebrate his birthday. He has no reason whatsoever for that decision; he just doesn't see the need to. Today, being the 30th of August, for the first time in Luca's life, he felt moody and not himself. Emotions have never been his thing. He has confidently disciplined himself not to yield to any stupid, goddamn emotions. "Porca Miseria." He hasn't even stepped out of his room and hasn’t eaten anything apart from the cup of coffee Miss A brought by 6:00 a.m. It seems so weird to him. What the f**k! I can't explain the feeling. Still trying to get out of such a mood, I haven't stepped out of my room since I woke up at 5:45 and didn’t head anywhere today. I didn’t even spend much time in the study room as usual. Usually, if he didn't come down for meals, no one would bring it to his room, but then something unexpected happened. A lady with long hair, fair skin, average height, slender, and a mark on her forehead brought him dinner. It was exactly 10:00 p.m. when he got a knock on his door. He wasn't expecting anyone. Miss A, his oldest maid, who had nannied him for years, knows when he needs people around. She has mastered his personality and knows exactly how he responds to things, so he wasn't expecting her to come knocking until 6:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. Luca was surprised, so he asked her to come in. As I looked up toward the door, my mouth opened wide in shock and curiosity. It was Maria, my new slave who was given to me as collateral by Paolo, who was owing me tons of debt worth billions. She stepped in. "Buona Sera, boss. I brought your dinner, master," she said with a voice so ladylike and angelic. "Who told you to bring my dinner when I didn't request it?" I asked. "I had observed you haven't eaten since morning and haven’t requested anything. Miss A isn't around, and I didn’t see the other maids or servants bring you any meals, so I thought to bring you something and to know if you’re okay." She seemed pitiful, like someone who was just being nice and showing concern. I wasn’t impressed, as usual, and responded, "You can drop it on the table." Then, I added politely, "Please, when I don't step out of my room, you don’t ever have to bring me a meal. Learn to ask questions before doing things. Here, things are done according to proper conduct and ethics." She stepped out immediately, fidgeting and feeling scared. The expression was written all over her face, and she had goosebumps on her skin. I just don’t appreciate anyone showing concern for me. It looks weak, and I don't believe in it, nor do I appreciate it. Maria went to her room and shed tears that night. She slept off and had a nightmare. It was as though she was being tortured, but then it seemed like someone asked her to hold his or her hands. It wasn’t visible, so she couldn’t fathom if it was a lady or a man. She screamed and woke up, panting really hard. Tears dropped from her eyes, and by then it was 3:00 a.m. She laid on her bed, remembering and recounting her life and the things she had been through. After that, she headed out to the kitchen to make a cup of coffee. By this time, everyone in the house was asleep, and it was so quiet, like a graveyard. I walked into the kitchen, took out a teacup from the drawer, and made myself coffee to drink. While I was drinking, I still had some flashes of life haunting me, and it made me scream for help. I almost fell off the seat I sat on in the kitchen. Just when I was about to fall on the floor, someone grabbed me from behind. It was Miss A. "What's wrong with you? Are you sure you’re okay?" she asked. I responded, "Sono, ma." "But you almost fell off the chair, and I heard you scream," she questioned further. By then, I was panting really hard. "Sì, ma, thank you for holding me back." "You're welcome, my child. Just be careful next time." I immediately finished the coffee and went back to bed.
