Chapter Two

I woke up early the next morning without the alarm sound. I went to take my bath, spending so much time in the bathroom and dressing up. I stood in front of the mirror seeing a perfect Beautiful lady. I smiled.

I took my bad and went out. "Good morning Daughter" my mom greeted me.

"Good morning mum" I responded

"It's looks like you are ready. I thought you said you are to resume by 8am, it's not even 7am and you are leaving already. you should at least eat something before leaving" She said smiling at me

"Yes ma. It's my first day at work. I shouldn't be late, And I want to work ahead of traffic too. I shouldn't give excuses on my first day" I replied

"And for the breakfast, I will get something on my way. Thanks mom" I added and I ran out

I stopped a cab and I went in telling the cab man the address of the company. I was dropped shortly in the front of the company. I was the first to resume at 7:30am. Everywhere was locked so I stood and waited till the security man came and gave access for people to enter at 7:40am

I saw the receptionist I met yesterday and I approach her to say Hi.

"Hi, Thanks for yesterday" I said to her

"Am only doing my job" She replied with a smile

"I got the job, and am here to resume. Can you please give me direction?" I added

"Oh congratulations, The second floor where the interview took place. Someone will attend to you over there" She replied

"Thanks so much" I said and went to the elevator I took yesterday, As I press the button, I remember the classic well dressed Man from yesterday.

As I was about entry the elevator I heard a voice behind me "Stop! Hello young lady, This for the board members and the VVIP. You can use the next one for the staff or visitor" A young man dressed in black suit approach me

As I was about to start an argument, my eye cut the notice on the top of the elevator indicating " For CEO, B/M and VVIP and the other Staff/Visitor" The man left even before I could say a word.

Wow! So I used the Board members lift yesterday? that was a costly mistake! The Man I met is definitely One of the Board members or VVIP!" I said to myself

I went to use the second lift, pressed the second floor button and the door opened shortly.

I went to have my seat on the same chair I sat before the interview. Shortly I saw a lady coming in from an office with files in her hand minding her business.

"Hello, Good morning" I bow in respect "My name is Nora, I was here yesterday for the interview. I received a message in the evening that I got the job and I was told to resume by 8am. Please can you direct me?" I added politely

" Oh congratulations, I will write you a note, you have to go down to the first floor, you need to get your ID before anything. Take this note, check for Mr Paul and give him. After you are done, come see me in that office" She gave me the note and pointed the office to me.

"Thanks so much" I said and quickly went to the first floor and ask for Mr Paul for the process of My ID. I tried to do things as fast as possible. The energy of first day at work is still high with in me.

I knock and entered after I heard come in. "Hello madam, I got the ID ma" I said to her

"Wow, that was fast" She look surprise "you are very lucky to have that on your first day. ID processing usually take one or two days and without the ID you can't go ahead with other things" She added

"Wow Thanks Goodness" I replied with a smile.

"You have to fill this form and submit it with the HR on the third floor" She said and gave me a form

" Ok ma" I collected the form and went out. I fillled the form outside and went to submit it with the HR. I came back not too long, I knock and I went it.

"I submitted the letter ma" I said to her

"Alright, This is your resumption letter. You are to resume at the CEO office as his Secretary" she said and handed over the letter to me

" His Secretary?" I said looking confused

"Didn't you apply for the position a secretary?" she asked

"No, I asked for the position of an event coordinator" I replied

"Wow, Good for you! All the best Mis Nora. The CEO office is at the last floor" she said with a smile

"Thanks so much ma" I replied and went out of her office.

"Everyone is just nice here. always replied with a nice smile. I love the vibes" I said and smiled

i went straight to the last floor to resume. As I stepped out of the elevator. The building started to vibrate. I can hear someone shouting at the top of his voice. I stood and waited for some minutes before I started looking for the CEO office. I saw a Door tagged "CEO". I was about to knock when I noticed that the noise I heard earlier might be from this room.

I stood hold my breath and knock, I went in after I heard come in.

"Your family will suffer this if we loose this contract!" In a Man's voice.

I finally saw the Man . Wow! The classic handsome Guy from the elevator? The asthmatic Guy? He is the CEO? The CEO should be an old man

I was surprised and it was written all over my face.

He was speaking to a man when I opened the door and He dismissed the man immediately I entered

"Hello young Lady, let's go down to business. I know why you are here.

Rule number 1:- No lateness. Don't even resume here when you notice that you are late

Rule Number 2:- Your desks is at the entrance, No body enters without a booked appointment

Rule Number 3:- No visitors of yours are allowed during working hour.

Rule Number 4:- You must go with me to every single meeting in and outside the country.

Rule Number 5:- You can be call upon anytime even on weekends. Extra salary will be added.

"That's all! Any question?" He asked

"Sir, there is no" I started

"Good! Happy resumption, You can leave. He rudely cut me off

I went outside and when to my space at the entrance of his office.

This is nonsense! He is rude and ungrateful! I saved him yesterday! not even a thank you. Rich Man's with no sense of gratitude

"Nora wake up! he is your boss!" I said to myself hitting my head on the table. But there must have been a change in power. The CEO was an old man the last time I checked.

He rang the bell and I went into his office.

"Miss Nora, I will be attending a fashion show tomorrow afternoon. I want you to go to the fashion store and get me my outfit for the event. Let's see how good you are" He said looking straight into my eye

"All the details you need to know about my size is on your system and please don't look homeless tomorrow" He added

"Alright Sir" I said looking lost

"You can have the company golden credit card, you are to pay with it" he said and handed over the card

"ok sie" I said and went out

Alot start to go wrong in my body system. How do I go about this? I don't even know his taste in fashion. Am I just to pick any cloth?

I tried calling all my male friends to help me out but non of them was available. This is not even about what I like, it's about what he likes.

I searched for his name on i********: and f*******:, lucky for me I saw his i********: page and I went through his page. "Wow, this hot! he is handsome and smart." I said to myself. I saw some of the comment his fans posted and I laughed out. "Ahhhhhh" I got carried away with the pictures and comment that I didn't know I was shouting at the top of my voice.

"Hello young lady, Have you forgotten that you are in an office!" I said someone shouting enough for me to hear.

Ahhhhhh My Boss! Am dead

"Am very sorry sir, I promise this will never repeat itself again. I promise sir" I said bowing my head.

"I have a family meeting to attend In the next few minutes so am done here for today. See you tomorrow" he said and walked away with his bag. I tried to help him with his bag but he didn't release it so I stepped back.

He left and I watch him walk away. What a perfect young man. He is handsome, Hot and Smart

I packed my things and left for H and G fashion store. The fashion store is not far from the Company so I walked down there.

"Hello, Good afternoon" A lady walked up to me immediately I stepped into the building.

"Good afternoon, please I need to get a male outfit" I said to her.

"Oh, why is your boyfriend not here with you?" She asked with a smile.

"I can't remember I said am here for my boyfriend. It's official! am here for my Boss" I replied sharply.

"Forgive my manners ma, I don't mean to be rude to you" She said

"I promise to give you full support as we walk around" She added smiling.

I have been to this store once so I know how expensive things are here. I came with my friend linda to buy his brother wedding suit but we ended up taking pictures alone because the price of the suit was the budget for the wedding. It's a big classic fashion store.

"What's the occasion ma?" The lady attending to me said

"It's a fashion show, am thinking of white suit, a white shirt and a red shoe. I don't know if you have it or not" I said to her.

"Hmmmm yes. we have" she replied

"I know he had something similar but the shoe am picking for him will surly make the outfit unique" I added and brought out my phone to show her one of my boss picture on Instagram

"This is Mr Nathan. am familiar with him. He get all him clothing here and am always on duty when ever he comes" She said surprisingly

"Do you work with him? She added

"Yes, I'm his secretary" I replied

"Wow, that's a big position, let's check the dress" She said we walk around the office

"I can remember his size so I assure you that you won't have a problem" She added

"Thanks so much, Can I have a multicolour fashion shirt and a red shoe?" I asked

"Yes for the shoe but I will need to confirm if we have a multicolour fashion shirt. Excuse me ma" She said and walked away.

She came back shortly with many shirt

"Sir, you are lucky, I was told some goods arrive yesterday. So you can pick out of this shirt's and I tell you this shirt are latest brand fashion shirt" She said

"Wow am very lucky to have you here, I will go for this" I picked one and smiled at her.

She went to pack the suit, shoe and the shirt and she came back thereafter.

"You are good to go ma" She said

"You know what? Can I have your number?" I said

"My name is Nora" I added

"Alright Mis nora, let's do this. I will go and get your receipt then you can find my number on the receipt" She went and get the receipt

"Wow this is professional of you" I said and we both smiled handling over the receipt

"Your name?" I asked

"Faith" She replied. "All the best ma" She bowed and took her leave.

I now have a new friend

"Wow Mission accomplished! I pray it becomes successful" I said to myself and left the store

I took out my phone immediately to call Linda and give her the gist.

"What's up Sis. how are u doing?" I said to Linda on the phone

"Hey you. am good. You?" she replied

"Am fine, I have a lot of gist for you sister" I added

"Wow, let's meet at the club then" she replied.

"Alright Sis, see you soon" I said and hang up the call.
