Chapter Three

Nathan POV

After leaving the company I went to my best friend house to give him gist about my new secretary. I rang the bell of his door and he came to get the door immediately.

"What's up best man" I said giving him a hug.

"Young billionaire" he hailed" am good, You?" he added

"Am fine, please what do you have in this house? am hungry please" I said with a funny face

"Don't give me that looks. you know where to go if you are hungry" he replied sharply

His name is David, he is my childhood friend and my best friend. we studied together in the state. he studied fashion design while I studied Event management and hospitality. he run a model agency and he's one of the best in the country. Myself and David are more than friends. we are Brothers.

"Now tell me, I know you have gist for me" he said sitting where she can see my face directly and enjoy the gist

David loves gist like ladies. David already knew about the lady that saved me in the elevator and it was his Idea to hire her as my secretary

"Yes bro, I have gist for you" I replied standing up to his table to take the meat pie I saw earlier

"You are lucky I didn't finish that" he said

"The lady resumed this morning but am not sure she knew I got the job for her. she was so surprised to see me as the CEO of the company. you need to see the looks on her face when she saw me. what the f*ck!" We both laughed

"So what are you going to do with her?" David asked

"Joke aside I have a feeling that she will be good at her work considering our first encounter. who the hell knows she as an inhaler" I replied

"Well, you guys might share the same problem" David said

"Is that suppose to be a joke?" I asked looking serious

"well, No! Why will she have inhaler if she is not asthmatic?" David replied

"You might be right on this" I replied

"So what's next? how was her first day at work?" Loveth asked

"I played the hard boss, am so sure that she was expecting me to thank her when she saw me for saving my life but No i didn't" I replied

"Bad boy, you are forming for your life saver" David laughed

"I gave her the rules and regulations like I would give any other staff working close to me" I added

"That's professional of you. I love that! Work is work! So what's next?" David asked

"I gave her her first tasks, i asked her to get me my outfit for the fashion event I have tomorrow" I replied

"wait, I don't understand. you asked your new famale secretary to get you your outfit? Why will you do that?" David said with a surprise look

"What about the fitting? This guy doesn't know you for crying out load!" He added

"Calm down bro, who says am doing to wear whatever she brings? I already have a cloth for the fashion show prepared. Am wearing the cloth your girls delivered last week" I replied

"Bad boy" David hailed "So why do you have to give the girl headache?" he asked

"I have to make sure she thinks about me for the rest of the day and resume after she wakes up tomorrow morning" I replied crossing my legs

"Nathan, what the hell is doing on in your head! you are a bad boy. You get whatever you want any how" he praised me and went to get a wine in his bar and toast to more happy moment.

"So when am I meeting your hot Secretary" he asked

"It's easy, come to my office and meet her" I replied

"What's up? let's go clubing tonight?" he added

"Club?" We just arrived from the state last month, Do u know any club here?" I asked

"Yes, A club is down the street and I was told that their VVIP is great" he replied

"Alright. No problem" I added

"I will give you a call tonight" he replied

"I have to go bro, I have a family meeting this evening and am sure everyone is waiting for me by now" I said and stood up, ready to leave.

"Alright best man. see you later" David said and gave me a hug

I went out of David house and entered the car and the driver drove home.

I arrive home and open the door. I saw everyone seated. My father, My step mother and my brother.

"Young manvdon't you think it rude for you to keep everyone waiting including your father? or didn't you get the time right?" my step mother said looking at me with so much disgust.

Why must she include Father!

"Well, it not.." I started

"I will appreciate if you shut that mouth of yours if you are not apologizing!" my step Sister cut in

Wow. my number two enemy, Fina. my Step Sister

I lost my mum when I was little. so my father brought in his mistress and her first born happened to be his first child. Long story

"And I will appreciate if everyone keep quiet! what's the problem. am sure he had a reason for coming late!" my father shouted

"Am not on anyone side. I just want peace" my father added

My father always say he's not on anyone side even when it obvious that he is on my side.

"Am sorry Dad" I said and have a seat close to him

"Fina called for this meeting so Fina why do you want to see everyone?" my father asked my Sister

Fina called for this meeting. This is nonsense. so am I here because of Fina?

"Thanks everyone for coming" Fina said looking me with so much hatred

I knew she would love to say excluding me.

"Am here to announce my engagement" She said and I laughed

"Sorry, what's funny?" my step mother said to me

"Am sorry, I know it's not funny. am just happy that someone is taking a step to forever. congratulations Sisterr" I said with a fake smile

"But Why are you all not surprise? it's like you all know about this accept myself and Dad. Ruth, Mercy and Favour. what's up with you guys?" I added

"That's because we already know about Her relationship" Ruth replied

"Really? Then I see no need for you disturbing my day at the office. you should have passed this on the phone or leave a w******p message. it's not like he is here" I said rudely to Fina

"Enough Nathan! I won't have you speak in that manner when am on seat" My father shouted at me

"Am sorry Dad" I apologize to Father Congratulations once again Fina. So what's next?" I added

"Dad, Mom and my Sisters .. my engagement party is coming up in a month time" Fina said

"Engagement party???!, Dad do you know this lady? Have you met her before or have a discussion with her? whose Son is he?" I faced Father and asked.

"Yes, I have seen him at an event before. Fina introduce him to me" My father replied.

"Wow, At an event?! How can you introduce him to Dad like a nobody? This is an insult and we are not taking it. Am sure Step mom knows him well!" I said looking serious

"Father i know you are gentle but please demand for a meeting. it's necessary" I added looking at Father

"I think Nathan is right on this" Mercy said

I can see Stepmother looking at Mercy with the look of "You are dead!"

"I know you might not know how it's done but you should have asked me!" I said looking at Fina

"It's not done like this! We are Andrew's and we must be treated with respect! Sis am highly disappointed in you " I added

"Nathan Enough! Mr no all.. Well, I don't blame you, There was no body to give you a full training" Fina stepped on my toes with her words and I was furious.

"What do.." I started

"Enough both of you!" Father cut in.

"Nathan, You have made a right point but you went too far with your words! you should have presented it in a better way" Father said looking straight into my eye.

"We are having a family dinner next week Sunday so Fina you are to come with your boyfriend" Father said

"And All engagement plans should stop. Am not against it but we will resume after the dinner. My regards to him" Father added, stood up and went to his room.

Stepmother followed immediately looking angry.

"mercy, please I want to see you in my room when you are free" I said to Mercy and I went straight to my room

Mercy is neutral. She is My Stepmother Daughter but she stands with nobody. She is a Lawyer by profession.

"Alright" She replied

I went and freshing up preparing to go to the club when Mercy knocked

"Come in, I shouted and she came in

"Hello, Where are you going with this hot looks." Mercy said

"Club" I replied

"Please I need a spare key so that don't disturb you when I come" I added

"It's on the wall beside the dinning table, you can get it on your way" she replied

"You look good" She added with a smile

"Thanks Kid Sister" I replied

"Who is your kid Sister? Just A year and 7 month? You are definitely high on something!" shee said

Mercy hate it when I call her kid sister or Kiddo

I moved out, getting the spare key on my way.

"Have fun Bro" Mercy shouted

I called David to know the location and he said he is at the junction of our house. "That's easy" I said and drove out.

I saw his car and park near him.

"Hi bro What's up?" he shouted coming out of his car

" Am fine" I replied opening the door of the car

"No No we won't leave if we start talking here so let's move!" David said and went back to his car.

We drove straight to the Club. We parked, entered and smiled feeling the vibes of the music.

"David! Look at that lady" I tapped David to get his attention because there was so much noise
