LUCA“We’ll figure it out,” I said to Mae, holding our apartment door open for her.
Mae walked into the house and leaned against Aaisha’s doorframe, staring into the empty room. Since Aaisha had shifted last night, she had moved in with Richard today, their bond stronger than ever right now. And part of me was jealous about it. I couldn’t wait until Mae felt that way about me.
I slipped an arm around her shoulders. “Never thought this would happen. I’d thought we’d be stuck with her forever.”
