Chapter Three - Jackson - Midnight Visitor

She drove off after shattering me, I knew I couldn't have her but her thinking I didn't care at all hurt like hell. Every time I was with her it took everything not to pull her closer to me and never let go. I couldn’t do that to her not knowing her past. I climbed back into the truck and tank looked at me "what did she say?"  “Nothing important.” Tank and Dazzy’s eyes softened  Dazzy sighed, slammed her head against the seat, looked up, and then mumbled under her breath “ she stayed because she believed in fighting for what she loved. She walked away because he chose to fight against her instead of beside her.”  “What was that Dazzy.” I said confused  “ With warren and alac, you know Sometimes walking away is the only option. Not because you want to make someone miss you, or realize they took you for granted. Because you finally respect yourself enough to know that you deserve better. And now she knows that, that’s why she left the diner, constantly the past couple of months they’ve been fighting this is the first time she’s ever walked away.” We both looked at her dumbfounded. “ you mean they broke up?” Tank asked “ probably.” She paused “ and if not, i’m willing to bet pretty soon they will.” It was music to my ears, just thinking of him not being able to touch her made everything seem better.  “Wait how did you know they were dating she’s been trying to hide that from everyone?”  “I’m not stupid Tank even when she’s making him try to hide it, he doesn’t do a good job. And the fact that Alec hs beta is constantly watching her.” We looked at each other and then at her “just drive would you, for an alpha and beta you two sure are pretty stupid sometimes. I thought wolves were supposed to be smart.” We both looked at her irritatedly but it’s not like we could say much she was right. I drove Dazzy and tank to tank’s house on pack territory and headed towards bluebird’s to meetup with Grady. When i walked in some of the guys were teaching the cheerleaders how to play pool. I saw Grady, Connor, and Michele at a booth. It was your quiet average evening everyone was having a good time. That is until cloud and Cohen walked in and headed straight for me. I had this sinking gut feeling that something was wrong and if those two were coming to me it meant something was wrong with Corra. Cohen came right up to me “do you know where she is?” His voice was urgent with a hint of anger. “No, What’s wrong? Is corra ok?” “I don’t know… she never came home and then we got a call from sheriff Stewarts say she was clocked going 150 down state street towards Warren’s territory.” “They didn’t pull her over.” “apparently not… I gotta go, thanks anyways.”  I tried to follow them out but one of the cheerleaders got in my way, by the time I made it to the parking lot they were already pulling out. I got in my truck and headed out I didn’t know where I was going but I didn’t care I had to at least try to find her. I didn’t even know where she goes by herself she’s always with someone, whether it be dazzy and Tank, or her brothers. I drove around for hours looking for her, but she was nowhere to be found it was already two in the morning so I headed home. I drove down my Long winded dirt driveway across from the pack house, to the dark house my parents left me and my sister along with the Territory. There were never lights on when I got home. I was the only one ever here because M.C always like to hang out at her best friends house. I parked my truck in the carport and walked into the mud room. I took off my jacket and hung it up throwing my shoes off and into the corner. I turned on the lights And headed up the stairs to the kitchen. I opened the fridge and pulled out a container of chopped chicken from the other night I tossed it onto the granite island in the center of the kitchen. Pulling a beer out of the fridge. I stood there looking out the window headlight started to come down the driveway. The car pulled all the way up to the house I stepped outside onto the deck looking down in front of the carport. It was Cora, her Shelby Mustang, she got out of the car and was dripping wet. I started down the stairs towards her and she met me halfway. “ what happened to you? where have you been?” She was covered in goosebumps from the water, her eyes were red and puffy like she had been crying, her arm cut open and bleeding, and for some irritating reason she smelled like salt water and cologne. The words were getting caught in her throat. I instinctively pulled her in holding her close “let’s get you inside.” She nodded and followed me up the stairs not saying a thing. I lifted her up onto the granite countertop and went to get a towel and the first aid kit. I wrapped her in the towel and started cleaning off the cut. It was pretty deep and long, going all the way across her forearm. After I disinfected it and wrapped it up I took the towel off of her shoulders and started to dry her hair. She didn’t even flinch when I touched her she just sat there like a doll. It was like every piece of her had broken in an instant. “ are you gonna tell me what happened.” She nodded, and rested her head on my shoulder. “ well at least tell me why you didn’t go home, why did you come here?” Her voice muffled in my shirt “ because he’s there… and your here.” I lifted her chin up and smelled her breath, the smell of tequila was strong.  “How much did you drink!” She shrugged  and dropped her head on my shoulder again. “I love you, you know.” She said with her silly yet irresistible smirk. I knew it was wrong, I knew she wasn’t in her right mind, and most importantly I knew she wanted to be mine just as must as i wanted her. The Temptation just overrun me I leaned in and kissed her over and over again. The kiss began to get more heated as I grabbed her waist and pulled her in close. Her hands wandered down my back as I grasped at her. I slid my hand down her arms and held her hands before pinning them above her head. She giggled as I kissed her and I couldn’t help but do the same. Well she laughed I’d gladly took it as an opportunity to slip my tongue in. She was surprised at first but went with it. We stayed like that for a while until I started down her neck to where you marked for mate she pulled away and we were both red and breathing heavily. “I’m sorry I shouldn't have done that.” I wiped my mouth pulling away, she huffed irritatedly and slammed her head against the counter. “Your impossible.” She muttered “ yeah and you’re drunk.” She laughed irritatedly. I picked her up her arms wrapping around my neck, her forehead leaning against mine, her dark forest green eyes growing tired and carried her to my room. Throwing her onto my bed. “ go to sleep, I’ll call your brother.” “ please don’t.” She mumbled and nodded off, her brother came not much later and got her, taking her home. I had her with me and it was heartbreaking seeing her leave.
