He had put a gag in my mouth before picking up his phone. I knew then that my prayers had truly been answered and Aiden was calling.
I tried to scream even though I knew it was futile. And it was indeed futile. Aiden couldn't hear me. Till the call was

"Well, let's just say thank goodness I was smart, Daisy," he started walking towards me while I sucked in my breath afraid of what he'd do next. "Or you would have told Aiden you were here with me.
