I grabbed the curtain that covered the shower space, draped it around myself and started making my way up. It was a tedious work trying to open the gate without alerting Leon. I crawled through the dark, already knowing my way through this familiar space. It took a couple of minutes but I finally landed out side. Except I'd need a wiser means to get down. Last time, I'd broken my ankle. Now, I might lose my whole leg. That thought terrified me. I didn't know what to do as tears rolled down my eyes, my heart beating fast.
