I warned you didn't I?, I told you to keep your eyes open if you were going to have what is mine. I see you took my words lightly and that is a very very big mistake you did there". Kate reminded daringly while hovering the room and settling on the bed as Jane slept, with a rictus grin on both cheeks, Kate stroke Jane's hair and for a while she lightly massaged her scalp to gently call Jane to reality.
As Jane slightly open her eyes wondering who it could be at that hour she shrieked at the sight of Kate. "Oh my God, kate what the f**k are you doing here?" Jane asked. " ssshhhhhhhhh" kate hushed Jane, placing her index finger vertically on Jane's lips.
" you wouldn't want your neighbors running in here wondering what the ruckus is, would you?".
"I asked what you're doing on my bed this late at night" Jenny asked now feeling her fears of Kate creeping in on her, with her eyes mist up with emotion. "Oh Jenny, your stare and questions just makes me feel like am the bad guy. You started this little battle Jenny, and as you know, you may start little battles but I wage wars" Kate said, bringing the muzzle of the gun she carried with her to her nose as she sniffed the acrid smell of metal.
"What?" Jenny asked shocked and vulnerable to the reality of her friend actually being psychotic at that moment. " you know how much I love metals right? Guess what else smells and tastes like metal?" Kate asked Jenny.
"Blood?" Jenny said questioningly also taken aback. " oh my God yes, you know me so well and distinguishably smart, no wonder James choose you." Kate said giving out a hollow laughter.
Jenny suddenly coming to her senses, "hold up Kate, are you putting on this show over James?" Kate just stared at her without saying anything. However, it was too obvious what all the show was about.
Jenny's eyes widened as Kate's gaze seemed to bore into her soul. The air was thick with tension, and the silence was oppressive.
"Kate, please," Jenny whispered, trying to reason with her. "Put the gun down. Let's talk about this."
Kate's smile grew wider, her eyes glinting with a manic intensity. "Talk? You want to talk? You should have thought of that before you slept with him, Jenny. You really should have thought about talking, about me ........ about us." Kate said.
Jenny's heart raced as Kate's finger tightened on the trigger. She knew she had to act fast.
"Kate, stop," Jenny pleaded, her voice shaking. "You're not thinking clearly. You'll regret this."
Kate's laughter sent chills down Jenny's spine. "Regret? Not thinking clearly? You're the one who'll regret, Jenny. You'll regret ever crossing me." Kate said amidst laughter.
With a sudden movement, Kate reached out and grasped Jenny's wrist, pulling her off the bed. Jenny stumbled, her legs trembling beneath her.
Kate's eyes blazed with a fierce intensity as she bent down to face Jenny, her voice low and menacing. "You think I wouldn't know??? You think I'm blind, Jenny? I may be introverted but I have eyes and brains, I can think too." Kate said finally at her level.
Kate's words dripped with venom, her voice trembling with rage. "I suspected it even before we started dating, that day I walked out leaving you guys alone. But I brushed the thought off because........... why? If you wanted the darn guy so badly Jenny, why set us up." Kate asked raged and curious.
" I know about the party.... Jenny, I know about it. I've seen the way he looks at you, the way he smiles at your damn jokes that aren't even funny, I've seen how you laid yourself for him like some thanksgiving chicken on a platter of gold. I saw it all" she chuckled and then continued. " you must think we're in the 17th century, everyone has a phone Jenny, the party was posted on social media...... do you think I was dumb, do you I suddenly look insane to you??." She asked now yelling.
Jenny's eyes widened in horror as Kate's words painted a vivid picture of her discovery. "You think you're so discreet, but you're not. You think you can hide it, but you can't. People will always talk."
Kate's face twisted in a snarl, her lips curling back in a cruel smile. "And now, I know everything. I know about the secrets, the lies, the stolen moments. And now, you'll pay for what you've done." She smiled manically

Let's go on a visit, Jenny," Kate said, her voice dripping with malice. "We'll have a little chat with James. And then...well, then we'll see. Now he'll really make a choice" Kate said dragging Jenny.
Jenny knew she had to think fast, or risk becoming Kate's next victim. But as she looked into Kate's crazed eyes, she wondered if escape was even possible.
