This chapter will stretch to around 5000 words to give it the weight it deserves. It needs to feel like a storm breaking open: betrayal, battle, blood, and the near-loss of Kaelen, the Alpha who has always stood unshaken. Gavin’s transformation in the last chapter collides headlong with Seren, Lyra, Darius, and Kaelen here — tearing the pack apart.
This chapter should:
Begin with the fragile aftermath of battle.
Shift into a sudden ambush led by Lucien and Gavin.
Show Gavin confronting his old pack as a vampire for the first time.
Center on Kaelen taking the brunt of Gavin’s betrayal and being gravely wounded.
End with Seren’s breaking point — forced to step beyond rules, destiny, and her own fear to keep Kaelen alive.
