31 KELOWNA Chelsea wandered through Kelowna’s Waterfront Park. She had an appointment with Dr. Sauvé in an hour. The walk along the water’s edge of Okanagan Lake on this beautiful day had a beckoning appeal. She sauntered along the boardwalk until she reached an ice cream parlour. It was mid-August and very hot. Ice cream seemed appropriate. She stopped in to see what flavours they offered. A variety of ice cream and waffle cones made on-site had her drooling. Chelsea chose a double-scoop caramel chocolate chip concoction and paid the exorbitant price the clerk asked for. She found a table and sat, watching the passersby. I haven’t had a cone since I was a teenager. Another forgotten passion I can now enjoy. Chelsea laughed aloud. Every bit worth the cost. She left the parlour and walk
