Sydney lowered herself onto the couch, leaned back into the cushions and flopped her legs onto the coffee table. “Aargh. I’m so done for the day.”
Jessie stood with her hands on her hips. “And you’re done with work. You have just become a lady of leisure.”
“Whatever that means. I have never been without a schedule, a job, or commitments in my life. What am I going to do with myself all day?”
“Hey, enjoy this time. Once those babies pop, you’ll be wishing for times like this.”
“I can’t imagine how chaotic our lives are going to be initially.” Sydney stared down at her abdomen. “I still can’t believe there are three of them in there. But my lower back keeps reminding me.”
Jessie headed to the kitchen. “You sit there and rest. I’m going to check on the crock pot to see
