When the door opened I had expected Luke to come back in. I had already planned what I was going to say to him and I was hoping it would go well. When my dad came in instead, my mind went blank. What was he doing here? Of course he’d show up.
It didn’t take long for us to get into one of our fights. I got up off the bed and was starting to take off all the monitors and he was on the other side and we were yelling at each other, neither truly hearing what the other one had to say.
