Chapter 2

‘Alright, I’m done. He. Is. f*****g. Dead.’ My wolf, Rosie, growled. ‘Oh, sweetheart, I couldn’t agree with you more… Have fun girlie.’ I laughed. I let my wolf take over and the room immediately filled with the man’s screams, then suddenly, everything was silent. My girls didn’t even flinch. They’d seen this done so many times and had done it themselves on quite a few occasions. They knew why we did it. I mean, yes it is murder, but we like to think that the good outweighs the bad. “Alpha.” They repeated. “Oh yes, I’m sorry. I got caught up in my own little world. What was it that you needed?” “The girls?” One of them hinted. “Oh, that's right. How many are there?” I questioned.  “23, ranging from 14 to 25 years old.” My command sergeant major replied immediately, routine kicking in. I would ask the same questions every time we made one of these ‘conquests’, where we were able to take some of those damn men who dared to do vile things to women out of this world while also taking on some recruits, the ones who wanted to seek revenge and save others from their evil captors. You are probably wondering, what's a command sergeant major? Or what do they have to do with a story about mates and werewolves? Well my ‘pack', so to speak, has levels. The pack can be separated into three categories. Business, Military, and Wanderers. So yes, it's only been 5 months and yet I've still managed to take over the business and the werewolf world.  When it comes to rankings, the business ranks have peasants at the bottom and you climb the scale and if you make it high enough, you can choose between being a princess or an ambassador. In case you didn't realize, I only have females in my ‘pack'. But anyway, where was I again? Oh, right. So a princess is given a piece of land which she then is in charge of, business-wise, but only the small businesses, like little boutiques and small restaurants. Princesses are more independent and tend to keep to themselves most of the time, unless there's an event, like a meeting or something where they have to discuss something with the princesses around them or even me at times.  Then there are the ambassadors. Instead of covering a piece of land, they become the C.E.O. of huge companies which are all sporadically in different parts of the world and they are in many different industries which could range from phone companies and such to all different types of clothing lines and shoe brands. What ambassadors do tend to revolve around me, as in many of their decisions is part of my master plan or my plan of how everything should turn out. Businesses that I monitor tend to improve in sales or are able to expand with contracts or alliances with companies I have already improved. Ambassadors also inform on important things that could potentially completely change a decision I was going to do that could possibly hurt me, from a financial standpoint, of course. I'm untouchable physically. Between my own physical power and the people I surround myself with, no one that wishes to cause me harm can. “What do you think, alpha?” Someone said, waking me out of my thoughts.  But I couldn't say anything. They hadn't told me anything that would prepare me for what I was looking at.
