“Sofia, can you come here for a sec?” I called.
“What’s up?” She asked casually, trying to make up for the fact that she had slightly hesitated when she was coming over here.
“Girls, show them what we do to traitors.”
The color immediately drained from her face as she realized she was caught and that she was going to die. After the shock wore off, a look of understanding, but also respect, made its way onto her face.
“Any last words?” I growled, pissed that anyone would dare to betray me, and also because she wasn't dead yet.
She let out a sigh and spoke clearly as if she had already known what she was going to say.
“I don't regret doing it.” she started, but paused when she heard an uproar from the girls around her, some that were even in the crowd of newbies, “But I had to. They took my little sister and she's all that I have. Everyone else left us one way or another and we were forced to live and survive any way we could. I wished, I hoped against hope that I didn't have to, and tried to find a way out, but I couldn't. I could only do what they told me to without complaint. That was the only way to save her!” She screamed.
She was in tears by the end and so were a few other girls in the room. But then I snorted. Then giggled a bit. Then I was on the floor laughing until my sides hurt. This was absolutely hilarious! I did try to make an attempt to stop but soon gave up knowing I didn't really want to. I had tears in my eyes from laughing so hard. I slowly stood up, wiped the tears from my eyes and when I was finally able to breathe properly again, I looked up to see everyone looking at me with strange looks on their faces. Haven't they see someone laugh their *ss off before?
“What?” I laughed.
There was only silence, perhaps thinking that I had finally lost it.
“Oh, don't tell me you believe all of this bullshit!” I exclaimed, flabbergasted.
Again, silence.
“If you hadn't taken up the life of a spy then becoming an actress would be perfect for you! I still can't believe you were actually able to come up with all of that and then lie right to my face! But I have to hand it to ya, for you to be able to fake cry like that was a bit impressive.” I went on and on.
Once she realized that she hadn't gotten to me she completely dropped her little charade. She knew that she either tricked me or tricked no one at all.
“D*mn it! How could you tell, b*tch? I know that you had help cause a dumb*ss like you sure as h*ll couldn't. You rely on everyone around you and if not for them you would be no one. Just the sh*t of the earth!” She snarled, clearly not happy that she wasn't as good as she thought she was.
They all finally understood what was going on and scowls could be seen on everyone present, including myself. Let's just say my wolf doesn't like disrespect.
