Chapter 26
Nathaniel Balder stepped out of the van while Ryan Jayden shook his hand. Nathaniel was attired in a red plaid shirt (with blue, gold, and crimson accent lines), faded blue jeans, and hiking boots.
"You look frightened," Nathaniel said. "Do you recognize me?"
"No," Ryan lied, "but I thought for a moment you and your friends were going to mug me."
Nathaniel slid the door shut behind him and stood facing Ryan. His handlebar mustache accentuated his grin and he inserted his hands into his pockets.
"Who is your team?" Ryan asked. "Why have they been looking for me?"
"Because of your Galaxy cap," Nathaniel answered. "Where are you headed?"
