I'm at the front.
CJ is at the back.
His hands are wrapped around my waist.
He whispers to my ear.
"We are going to win."
We're almost at the finish line when Fidel and Jess gallop past us, becoming the leading team.
I scream at them.
"Cheaters!!!"
CJ is behind me, cussing them out for finishing first. Jake and Nina take advantage of the situation and ride faster to the finish line.
Yes, we just lost.
"It's 2022. Cheating is the new cool." Nina smirks, climbing off the horse.
"This is not fair!" I grumble when we finally get to the finish line. "Let's start over. A clean fair game this time."
Jess giggles, kissing Fidel.
"Some of us have babies to make."
"You guys will have adorable babies." Nina gushes, looking at the couple.
