My name is Kathrine and music is my life.

It's my escape of reality and the foster-monsters back at home.

My "parents" are silly people that I'm surprised I hadn't popped off at because of my famously awful temper. But they always talk like they know me, ain't that a bunch of crap! Because they don't know my biggest secret:

I own a club that makes more than millions of dollars a month.

You can't let your guard down in the world that i am in. Even if its surrounds you with beautiful men and women that wants your business crushed. I can't even begin to explain what happens at night, you wouldn't believe me anyway.

But hey, business is business.

So please. I'm begging you.

Make an appointment first.

Then, and only then, we can talk.

My name is Kathrine and I have been in so many foster homes I can't even remember most of them. The last family I am with is the Smiths. They have let me stay with them for the past 2 years but that's only because of the money that I have in the bank. I have at least 1.4 million dollars in my name from my parents that have passed away. They have have tried to drill it in my head that I owe them for their hospitality but I don't. Not the type of "hospitality'' that they are talking about anyways. Not after all the bullshit they put me through. I get a monthly check from the bank thanks to my parents wishes. But sometimes they would magically 'disappear', like a bunny in a magicians hat. I never believe that because for some reason my foster parents find new shiny toys like the latest fashions or new cars they don't even need or would let me have. I sighed and hugged my oversized white bunny pillow close to my chest. I can't wait until night time. That's when all the fun happens! That's when I'm more at ease! Shouting from downstairs made me tense up. One of the kids got into something they weren't suppose to I guess. Things like this happens all the time I'm not even surprised. They get into trouble for the dumbest things, almost everything. You name it, not picking up little pieces of papers, not washing their faces or even both. I rolled onto my stomach and looked at my twitter news feed explode again. It was kind of boring on there but I need it to kill some time. And besides the fans are so adorable and amazing on there. Dean stomped upstairs and peered inside my room. He gave me a look of pure disgust and didn't budge."I'm surprised that you are still here you little slut." I pressed my hand over my heart and made a face of mock appreciation."Aww, Dean that's the sweetest thing you've said to me all week babe!" He glared with his beady black eyes."Don't call me babe." I nodded and looked back to my computer screen."Riiiight, only your wife can. Wait I'm sorry I meant the woman that keeps kissing you and leaving obvious hickeys. By the way spray something on you or take a damn shower, you smell like s*x. It's hella gross man" He slammed my door shut causing my framed Nightmare Before Christmas poster to drop on my wooden floor and the glass to shatter. "YOU OWE ME A NEW FRAME DAMNIT!" I shouted cleaning up all the sharp pieces of shards. He slammed his door shut to make his point and didn't say a word. What an ass! I rolled my eyes and turned on my little TV to some MTV. That channel was my so amazing I don't even think I could describe how awesome it is. They had some Pimp Out My Ride but for some reason the show was canceled. Who doesn't want to watch a show full of old cars getting a make over?! I sat on my bed and watched as two girls were pulled off each other and the camera men were pushed away. I was surprised no one had their extensions flying around and off into the sky. Or the mans obvious toupee that didn't fly away in the wind. It's been several episodes and the damn thing keeps waving at the audience. One day toupee. One day you shall fly! I heard a tires screech against the black pavement and knew that she was here. The woman who is a total meany. Like beyond mean. Like Simon from American Idol mean. Her car door slammed shut and I could hear her heels quickly click on the floor. She would regularly do this just to try and catch Dean cheating on her under her own roof. But sadly enough the ugly brute isn't stupid, he knows how to hide his women. And that's just making his wife bitter and giving a tough life on us all. The door slammed open and shut and I could already mentally picture her looking around for something to point out. She was the type of parent that wanted to scream at anyone or everyone for something. I don't think the poor lady could help it. "Kathrine!!" She yelled from downstairs. I turned off my TV and hid my laptop under my bed. I closed the door behind me and quickly made my way downstairs. I took a deep breath as I got closer to her. She was something else that's for sure. Most of the time she drinks and drinks and passes out two hours later. I turn the corner and see her red faced in the kitchen. There was nothing out of place except for new dishes and three or four wrappers from granola bars. She flicked all of the wrappers on the ground and lifted her perfectly plucked and colored in eyebrows at me. I slowly knelt to the ground and picked up each piece. She began to claw at every pan and pot in the cabinet below the sink in absolute rage and made them bang and bounce on the floor. I swear this woman is a short fuse ready to pop. "Why isn't this s**t done?!" She screeched. I didn't even flinch at how close she was screaming at my face, or even at the pots and pans that was scattered around on the floor of our tiny kitchen. I hated every material those stupid things were made of. No reason at all. Just a stupid burning hate. "You had all f*****g night to do this!" She hissed her eyes flashed and she continued to empty out the cabinets. In the back of my mind I prayed that my little foster brother and sister twins wouldn't see her treat me this way. I finally got them to stop throwing tantrums just like their mother and this would encourage them to become like foster-monsters. "f*****g hell. Where's my wine?"She snapped and followed my gestured to the bottles all lined up nice and neat. She snorted and grabbed a bottle. "Clean this all up." She ordered shortly waving at the mess on the ground with her expensive bottle."Rewash them and put them inside the cabinet more neater, okay honey?" I gave her a curt nod and began to do what she said, I felt my control slipping and maybe if I just jump on it she will leave me alone. I could see my hands shake in pure rage and hoped that she couldn't see that. I picked up almost half of them and I still heard her foot tapping against the tiled floor. I look up and she's just staring right back at me with a poker face. She met my green eyes with her brown ones, searching for something and looked away, finding nothing. Good. "The bank gave you another check." She said in a strained voice. Almost as if it was a precious gem and she couldn't live to part with it. I narrowed my eyes. I'm not going to let her cut it in half. I've been saving up to move out of this place since I turned thirteen and she knows it. I can see her greed filled gaze as she sees all the money that I've saved up. She has a husband that gives her the money she needs but she always craved more. Dean was ignorant, almost snobby and always thought he was right. I remember the last two times he snapped no one had made a move to help. Those were the worst of them all and the little fights before was just a warning that something was going to happen. But in a way, I'm happy that he did snap. It made me the girl I am today. "I'm gonna need the money." She sighed with the same tightness around her lip. I shook my head."I'm capable of buying my own things. And besides you got my last two checks, for whatever reason I don't know why. That should be about 2,500 dollars from both, I think you should be fine." Her hand twitched and I realized that the check was in her grasp. I gave her my cold stare and put as much venom as I could. She made me like this. That woman just drank away her problems because of her damn husband and can't even take care of her own children. She laughed without humor and threw that small paper at me. "Take it then. Ungrateful little bitch." She murmured the last part to herself and almost walked away when she thought of something."Clean this all up and I want you in bed at ten." I looked at my watch and frowned. "It's nine forty-one. And I have places to be anyway Hun. Thanks for the suggestion." She widen her eyes in mock surprise and gasped."Ohmigod, you are so right, sweetheart. But you are under my roof and you will do as I say" My control was loosening and I felt as if I may explode." I'm almost eighteen.I can leave when I want!" I said through gritted teeth. She smiled. I swear its like every time we are in the same argument, she enjoys it. "Aw poor baby is gonna be late for her hooker job again." I quickly gripped the ends of my white wavy locks. I gave it small tugs so I can remember where I am and who I am talking to. I calmed down as she went on saying those words and picked up five more pans and pots. I blocked her out as I rewashed the dishes and didn't even respond as she piled up more plates on my left from her room. I was finally finished and stared at her right in the eyes."Thanks for the check." Her gaze flickered a different emotion for a second but she covered it and kept in her sneer. She gave me a curt nod and went upstairs. She hesitated one more time and stood there on the third step while drumming her white tip nails against the bottle. She snorted to herself and took another long, hard gulp of her drink. She ran her hand through her blonde bob and went upstairs with a small wobble. My hands shook and I noticed that I was gripping the knife I washed too hard and it dug itself into my skin. Thankfully the sharp side didnt cut into my palm. I glared. I need to get out. Now. I rushed upstairs into my room and flipped the lights on. There wasn't really much to show in my room. I had a small bed that I'm thankful for not outgrowing including the blankets on the left side of my room against the wall. I had a small dresser with a mirror and tiny closet to the right of it. And that was it. The walls to my room were bare and had no color what so ever. I growled to myself frustrated, thinking back to the little scene in the Kitchen. Silvia was having a hard time as always but that doesn't mean that she can go around and scream at other people. Much less make their day worse too because she's too stupid to get out of the relationship with that cheater. I felt anger bubbling to the rim and I knew I was about to break. I searched around my room for my bunny and hugged it close to my chest for a couple of minuets. I use to cut but I figured all I really needed was comfort not pain. So I stopped with some therapy and they gave me this bunny to hold when I was upset. I had so many scars from doing this but it helped me cope for the time being. Almost like a temperary relief, the bunny on the other hand helped me out a lot. So did food.. "One." I murmured slowly to myself. "Two." I said again and listen to my father echo the same thing in my head. "Breathe." I took in a deep breath and the boiling hate died down. I shook my head and took off everything I had on. I pulled on my Coconut crop top and some demi shorts and long sleeved button up shirt. I pulled on my black high-tops and beanie. I applied some cotton candy lip gloss and mascara with a little spark of eyeliner. She lies. I thought to myself. I am pretty. I grab all my cash, including my new check just to be safe. I slipped out from the small window and tip toed downstairs and over to my car. I drove off and was happy to be out that house! All that was there was chores and chores and more chores. My bestfriend encouraged me to move out before she died from a car crash. Me and her boyfriend were woken up by sympathetic gazes and the pastor trying to tell us to leave. We both fell asleep in the funeral hall with red eyes and sore throats. Eventually though, we stopped talking and every once and awhile text each other when he needs help with something. I glowered at the car in front of me. I wish I could have been there for her. Or at least it could have been me instead of her. I turned on the radio once I made it a couple of blocks away from the house. I drove around for the fun of it and stopped at the white and black building with pretty blue lights lighting up the place. I'm extremely proud of my club. It looks so small on the outside but when you get in its basically underground. We have a huge white lit up dance floor that turns different colors when someone steps on it. A bar on the side with hunks of bartenders and a little food court at the left of the entrance. My bouncers looking bad ass stood outside the entrance with stone cold expressions. They seemed to be carved from boulders with how girls would throw themselves at them, pleading for a peak inside. I smiled and put on my shades. "OHMIGOD IT'S HER!" I smirked as three more bouncers slipped outside and huddled around me. The people tried to get past them for god knows what. "He won't let us in!" "I gave him one hundred dollars but they just took it!" "Why can't I get in?!" "It's my birthday!" "Guys." I barely raised my voice and yet they all hushed and hanged on every word I said."It's okay. Pat them down and check for any drugs and blah blah blah. Then let them in if their clean, it's on me today." They all squealed and laughed. This is why they all love me so much I guess. I slipped inside and already i knew a spot light was on me. I smiled and squinted under the bright headlight. My DJ waved and picked up the microphone. "Everyone give it up for..The Kitty Cat Katherine!" Everyone cheered but stayed away due to Mike, Miles and Mason surrounding me. They all wooted as I walked over to Eric who calls himself, Dj $^^ile$. He lean in close and gave me a kiss on the lips and it made the whole crowd go crazy! "GET SOME OF THAT!" "DAT ASS!" "VIDEO TAPE THIS s**t!!" I laughed and took the microphone from his hands and Eric pumped his fist pumped to the bass, which was bad ass. "WHO IS READY TO JUMP?!" Me and the music sang together with the bass dropping just right, it left a sweet taste in the back of my throat. I gazed over to Eric with admiration. He knew what type of music this place needed from the start. And to think, other club owners are trying to take him away from me. Well I won't let them. I danced in the back with Eric mixing in the front. We both love music it was literally our life. We sometimes let other DJ noobs come in and spin while Eric and I would dance in the back together getting the crowd pumped. One time even we couldn't do it, the poor guy had a bottled water thrown at him. Let just say, that was the last we saw of him. "Kat!" Someone shouted. I looked over to see my bouncer and saw he had a cold expression. And behind him was what looked like a male model. A handsome one with odd golden eyes. I stopped dancing and took off my shades. When I talk to someone I want to look at them in the eye. I gestured to the office behind Eric and I waited until they were all in. I frowned and crossed my arms over my body and with the snap of my fingers the Triplet Ms and two other bouncers stood around me protectively. Now that I know I looked intimidating I put on my business face. "Why are you here?" The guy looked me up and down with no shame. The guys around me tensed and I just looked bored. I really need to repaint my nails. The chip in the paint looks so damn terrible. "Listen here buddy." I said aloud."If all you are going to do is to undress me with your eyes like a p*****t I can easily have my men throw you out babe." His eyes zeroed in on my face and I was speechless. He was absolutely beautiful it was almost unreal. His skin was extremely pale and his silky pitch black hair fell in his eyes. His eyes which were extremely good-looking golden color. His soft lips lifted in a smirk. "I just wanted to see the competition around here." He said lowly and looked around in my office. It was messy with a black and white modern style. He smiled and his eyes looked back at me."I can see what the commotion is about. For a girl you are a surprisingly good boss and club owner." I glared. Throughout all the competition that flows in here to see my place they all say the same thing, that I was just a girl. Well I already have to put up with bullshit at home, and I'm not gonna put up with it here. In my own office. In my own DOJO!! I licked my lips slowly and seductively and noticed how his eyes trailed along with the movement. I walked up closer until I could almost feel the cool temperature of his 6'5 framed body. "Yeah. No wonder why your club is going out of business." I whispered with a smirk, my boys behind me laughed. His eyes widen and surprisingly he didn't even glare but stared at me in wonder. I frowned and started to feel a bit awkward at the constant starring. I shook my head and sighed. "Next time you want to visit, make sure you have an appointment.." I trailed off with a lifted eyebrow and a hand on my hip. "Zayden" He finished. I shivered slightly, feeling shy and exposed under his gaze even though this outfit isn't revealing at all compared to what some girls wear here. I back up into my boys and they get the idea. Get him out. They huddled around me and in front of me. My head felt like it was spinning and I needed to sit down. I walked over to my chair and sat down. I sighed as Zayden met my gaze, it felt like pure bliss just having his eyes on me. Almost like pleasure, pleasure as in I'm fighting the urge to moan. I waved at Zayden and put my shades back on to cover my eyes. That's one place I can't keep blank. When someone looks in my eyes they can see everything I feel. Almost like I were an open book. "Alright buddy." Mason muttered. "Time to get out." Mike shooed. "Now."Miles finished. "I'll be back." He warned."Feel free to stop by my club anytime. Then you will see how its done, Love" Eric slipped in around them with a quizzical expression. He looked over to me and rushed to my side. He rested his palm over my forehead with a frown. He pulled my glasses off and looked at me deep in the eyes. "You okay babes?" I nodded and took out two water bottles from the black mini-fridge under my desk. I handed one to Eric and he gulped it down. "Liar." He chuckled and wiped at the corners of his mouth. His hazel eyes encouraged me to spill and like always I did. "She wanted me to split my check and threw everything on the floor in the kitchen. Everything as in pots and pans. Do you know what the kid put under there sometimes? I found a moldy sandwhich under there once. Molded!" He shook his head and sat at the corner of my desk and held my palm in his hands. He didn't say anything at the cuts but pressed his lips against them. I began to wonder, what are we? Are we even dating? "I don't understand why. I mean its obvious that she has financial support from the man. All she pays for is the food right? And molded sandwhiches sound delicious!" I nodded and downed the last of my water bottle and shook my head with a disgusted expression."I'll make you a molded sandwhich and see if you say that again." He laughed and his dimples graced the world with their appearance. He has such an adorable smile, no, sexy smile. I'm surprised the girls panties don't drop to the floor. Wait now that I think about it, I'm sure it has happened before. I found a pair of girls underwear onstage while we were cleaning up. It had a number on it written in sharpie. "You do know that legally you are allowed leave right?" He told me in a serious tone and all traces of humor gone."If you dislike it there so much then why stay there?" "The kids."I muttered and rubbed my cheeks. "They have a mother, that's not your job. And if it worries you so badly, send them a check every three months." He suggested. I stood up and walked over to the window. Another DJ was mixing and had the crowd pumped. It wasn't the type of music we played but it was exceptional. I rested my hands on my waist and shook my head." Those kids need me." A girl in the middle of the dance floor puked all over the guy in front of her and poor Mike tugged her out while Mason cleaned it up with a frown. Eric and I laughed. I rested my head against his shoulder and sighed. "I will if things don't get better. Is the offer to crash at your place still up?" He chuckled. "Of course. But first things first, let me teach this noob how its done." I grinned and watched as Eric picked up the mic and shook a finger at the guy. I laughed as he smacked his tush off stage and started the beat with his famous Bass introduction. I rested my head on the glass and closed my eyes. I have so much to think about. But right now I'm the Kitty Cat Kathrine. I don't have troubles just a club and a DJ boyfriend that likes to touch guys asses when they mix noob like music. I laughed at my own joke and went onstage with Eric and danced my heart out. Tomorrow better be different or I will have to move out.
