-Natalie Romano-
“You don't need Brian, f**k him and that girl he was f*****g” my best friend, Amelia was trying to cheer me up. “You’re way too good for him,” Amelia continued, her voice firm. “You’re smart, you’re gorgeous, and you have a freaking good heart. Brian’s just a douchebag who doesn’t deserve a single tear from you.”
I sniffled, wiping the back of my hand across my wet cheeks. “I thought he was different, Lia. He was so sweet in the beginning, always saying all the right things. I actually believed him when he said he’d wait.”
Amelia shook her head, her eyes blazing with anger. “He’s an i***t, Natalie. A liar. The kind of guy who only thinks with his d**k and wants you for your money. You can’t let this get to you. There are better guys out there—guys who will actually respect you and your choices.”
Amelia was right, I was done being a girl that cried over a douchebag of a boy.
“You know what Lia, you're right” I stood up from my bed determined. “We're gonna go out tonight and get s**t faced drunk and I'm gonna get laid”
Amelia’s face lit up with excitement. “Now that’s the spirit! We’re gonna have so much fun, and you’re going to forget all about that asshole.”
I felt a rush of adrenaline running through me. “Let’s do it. We’re going to the hottest club where Brian works, and I’m not holding back.”
Amelia grinned, grabbing my hands and spinning me around. “Yes, girl! We’ll get all dolled up, and trust me, every guy in that place is going to wish they had a chance with you.”
We spent the next couple of hours rifling through my closet, tossing clothes around as if we were preparing for battle. Finally, I settled on a tight, short red dress that clung to my curves in all the right ways. I paired it with heels that made my legs look endless and a bold red lip that screamed confidence even if I didn’t entirely feel it yet.
“Damn, Nat, you’re fire!” Amelia said, adjusting her own outfit. She wore a sleek black mini-dress that highlighted her athletic figure, her hair falling in loose waves around her shoulders. “Brian is going to regret every damn second he wasted on that random chick when he sees you tonight. Not that we’re doing this for him, but still.”
I smirked at my reflection, trying to convince myself that the girl staring back at me was ready to take on the night. “Yeah, screw Brian. I’m doing this for me.”
My dad told me he'll be out of town for the week when I came back home from Brian's place so I didn't have to bother about him finding out
I didn't want to take one of the cars because then I’d have to let one of the drivers take us because neither Amelia nor I knew how to drive. The driver might snitch to my dad that we went to a club, and then I’d be in trouble.
We hailed a cab and headed to one of the most popular clubs downtown. The line was long, but Amelia, being the queen of connections, got us in without a hitch.
The club was lit with different shades of revolving lights and loud music sounded through the building shaking everywhere
We hit the bars first, we took our seats and the bartender turned around. “What would you ladies like to have?”
“Uhm two shots of tequila” Amelia answered
“Coming right up,” he replied. In a few minutes, he slid us a shot of tequila each
I and Amelia took a pinch of salt before downing our shots and then we sucked on a slice of lime. Apart from the burning sensation I felt in my throat, everything else was fine
“Two more shots for me please” I slid my glass back to the bartender
Amelia looked at me in surprise. “Where's the nerdy shy Natalie I know. I'm not complaining though. I love this version of you”
I downed my shots and grabbed Amelia's hand. “let's go dance”
We staggered to the dance floor. The vodka was kicking into my system and I just danced away with Amelia
A guy I recognised from school came behind Amelia and whispered something that made her bite her lip. She winked at me and turned around to follow the boy
I thought about going back to the bar and ordering more shots but then I thought if I was going to get laid, I'd have to be conscious to remember it, besides I was already drunk.
I turned around and saw Brian at the VIP section and part of me contemplated walking over to confront him while the surviving reasonable part of me warned against it but I still followed my drunk mind and walked over to where he was standing
“Natalie, what are you doing here?” He asked lustfully gazing at me
“I came here with my new boyfriend” I slurred
Brian stepped closer, trying to look all apologetic, but I wasn’t buying it. “Natalie, I know I messed up. Just let me make it up to you. You don’t have to do this. You know you didn’t come here with anyone, and we can fix us
I hated the fact that he didn't believe me. I glanced around the club and then I found my prince charming. He was perfectly built and sharply dressed. He looked like he fell from heaven and he was heading over to the VIP section where I was standing. If I was going to get laid tonight, it was definitely going to be with him
“Actually he's right over there” I pointed
Before Brian could say another word, I staggered over to my prince charming. He didn't notice me till I was right in front of him. I grabbed him by his tie and pulled him down to my height and then claimed his lips
He stiffened in surprise but gradually relaxed and kissed me back, his hand grabbing my waist.
Brian watched us in shock. I broke the kiss and led my prince charming to the dance floor and he followed me willingly to my surprise
I was drunk, but still sober enough to notice my surroundings. I started grinding on him on the dance floor not minding the crowd and I feel his hard on against my ass
“Wanna get out of here?” he leaned in and whispered in my ear
“Yes, definitely,” I whispered back. He was about to take my hands and lead me out of the club when my phone chimed. It could be Amelia, she might be looking for me
I turned on my phone screen and my eyes widened in horror. It was a text but it wasn't from Amelia it was from my dad
-Hey honey, I had to cancel my trip. I'll be back home in an hour, I feel bad for leaving my baby girl all by herself. I'll make it up to you when I get back-
Oh no. My dad was coming back home. I would be in so much trouble if he finds out that I had left home to go party at a club
I had just an hour to get home
“Is everything okay?” My prince charming’s voice brought me back to the present
Great. My dad had to ruin my one chance of getting laid
“I'm so sorry” I yelled and ran out, heading for the exit
