THE COLD WAR (CHAPTER 1)
The boundary between the village of Okan and Lauren was set with a tense atmosphere. Warriors from both villages stood at attention, holding flags and dressed in their respective attire. The drumbeats intensified the tension as the King of Okan spoke.
"Hey, my heroin, are you afraid of this battle? If so, you can withdraw and we'll settle this amicably," the King said with a mocking smile.
Luna's response was swift and fierce. "There is no one afraid of falling; there is no water afraid of those who want to swim. They are the ones who are not at peace."
The King's smile grew wider as he taunted the Queen. "You dare not challenge me. None of your soldiers is capable of that. I've fought many wars and taken many as my servants. Do you think you can do this thing yourself, Luna?"
The luna's reply was laced with venom. "Do you think I'm like those snakes you take into your basket? No, I'm not your tiger or your dog. Dare to come to the house of a lion, and you will never go back in peace. It's either you die here or get injured. You make me smile; you make me remember my childhood days. You are like an ant in the presence of a lion, in the presence of an elephant. Nothing you can do; you can't touch a bit of my cloth."
The King's face darkened, and he commanded, "Set the war ablaze!"
The king set fire to the bowl, and millions and thousands of spears flew off. Luna shouted, "Charge!" and removed her sword, pointing it towards their enemies. The warriors charged forward, dodging spears and running towards the enemy lines. The luna led them, facing the King directly.
The two armies clashed, and the sound of clashing steel echoed through the battlefield. The King drew his sword, and the two leaders fought fiercely. The warriors engaged in combat, dodging swords and killing each other. Some fled, while others fought mercilessly.
The battlefield was chaotic, with warriors fighting and dying. The sound of clashing steel and the beat of the drums filled the air. The luna and the King exchanged blows, their swords flashing in the sunlight. The Queen's sword sliced through the King's guard, and he stumbled backward. The King's eyes narrowed, and he launched a fierce counterattack.
The luna parried the King's blows, her sword dancing in the air. She struck back with a powerful blow, but the King dodged it and retaliated with a series of swift strikes. The luna blocked each blow, her armor denting under the impact.
As the battle raged on, the warriors began to tire. The luna's army was holding its ground, but the King's forces seemed endless. The luna's warriors were getting slaughtered, and she knew she had to end the battle quickly.
She launched a final, desperate attack, her sword flashing in the sunlight. The King parried the blow, but the luna's momentum carried her forward. She kicked the King in the chest, sending him stumbling backward.
The King's eyes widened in surprise, and he struggled to regain his footing. The luna took advantage of the momentary distraction and struck the final blow. The King's sword fell from his hand, and he stumbled to his knees.
The luna stood over him, her sword raised. "It's over," she said, her voice cold and detached. "Surrender, and I might spare your life."
The King looked up at her, a mixture of anger and admiration in his eyes. "You are a worthy opponent, Luna," he said. "I surrender."
The Queen nodded, and her warriors surrounded the King. The battle was over, and the village of Luna had emerged victorious.
As the dust settled, the luna stood victorious on the battlefield. She had proven her strength and bravery, and her people would celebrate her victory for generations to come. But at what cost? The village of Okan lay defeated.
The luna's thoughts were interrupted by the sound of approaching horses. Her scouts rode up, bearing news of the battle's outcome. The Queen listened, her face expressionless, as the scouts reported on the casualties and the spoils of war.
When they finished, the luna nodded thoughtfully. "We will tend to the wounded and bury the dead," she said. "We will also send a message to the village of Okan, informing them of the King's surrender."
The luna's warriors nodded, and the process of tending to the wounded and burying the dead began. The Queen stood watch, her sword still raised, as the sun dipped below the horizon.
As the stars began to twinkle in the night sky, the Queen sheathed her sword and walked among her warriors. They cheered her name, and she smiled, her eyes shining with pride.
The battle was over, but the end is just the beginning.
