Chorus POV
I hated every minute of not being able to take over our coven. I have already told Lyric and Verse my opinion of the council not allowing us to take over. There is something more to these rogue attacks then what any of us are being told and the council is keeping it quiet. I'm suprised that they allowed us to head to the werewolf council to investigate.
I tried to read the council as we were in the meeting, but for some reason I was blocked. My ability was to read minds, I could even hear the mind links the werewolves use if I needed to. Something was going on normally the council didn't block our powers, there wouldn't be a need to. My siblings and I finished our packing and headed to the hummer.
"What do we do if the werewolves don't talk to us?" Lyric asked
"We'll have to figure that out. Offer our help, whatever we can do to get this taken care of. We are being denied our birthright and I want it fixed." Verse responded.
"I agree with you. Even if we weren't being denied, this is a problem. Rogues attack, but not like this." I said
"We are going to figure this out. We have to be careful, who knows what is going to happen, we could be attacked. That can lead to other problems between the witch and wolf communities. No one wants any problems." Lyric said
"Don't worry sis, we'll do whatever we have to." I told her
"I know that I just don't want a war on our hands." She said
"None of us do. We haven't had issues with the wolves for a long time, and I for one will work hard to keep it that way." I said
We drove in silence for hours and we were going to need to find a place to stop for the night. We agreed to rest in a hotel instead of staying in the hummer. There are going to be times we will have to do that, we just need to find one that is by some woods. Treble and Griffin needed to be let out to run and spread their wings. We ended up finding a hotel on the outskirts of a small town and pulled in for the night. I walked inside and up to the counter. I was greeted by an older man.
"Good evening sir. How can I help you?" he asked
"Good evening. I need one room with two beds and then another room with one bed please." I told him
"Alright and how many nights would you need these rooms for?"
"I think just tonight works just fine. Thank you." I replied
"That's good. You seem like a nice young man, I wouldn't stick around long."
"Really? Why is that may I ask?" I looked at him curiously.
"I'm sorry it's not really my place to say or judge. However, there have been some strange things happening around here lately. People going missing, just up and disappear." he told me
"Yes, that is very strange indeed." I paid the gentleman and walked back to meet up with my siblings. I told them my conversation with the older man as we walked to our rooms. Verse and I settled into our room and Lyric came in just after she settled in.
"I think we should reach out to mom. It seems strange that we come across a town where people are going missing. I think rogues may be involved." Lyric suggested
"Yes, I have to agree. I think it's just too much of a coincidence for it not to be rogues. I will call her." I said and called our mother.
When mom answered I explained everything to her so far. I told her where we were and that we were staying overnight in a hotel. After I told her everything she said she would call me back. She wanted to check a few things first but thought we could be by a pack. If we were then it was very likely we would need to investigate this pack. We need to know if the pack had been attacked yet or not. If there was an attack then rogues were probably to blame for the missing people. Rogues only care about themselves and could care less if they hurt humans or anyone else. Mom called back after a few moments to give us the news that we were near a very small pack no more then a hundred. The pack was called the Lunar pack.
"Thank you mom, we will get some rest and head to the pack in the morning and check it out. We will let you know as soon as we have some information." I told her and hung up the call. "Well that settles that, the Lunar pack is nearby. Mom said it's a small pack no more then a hundred wolves."
"So we are checking this out. It just had to be connected to the supernatural." Verse said.
"Well I guess if we are doing this then I'm going to get to bed. The sooner we get this done the quicker we can get to their council." Lyric stated and went back to her room.
The next morning we packed up our stuff and headed to the hummer. Treble and Griffin were waiting for us already. We loaded up the hummer and went our way to Lunar pack. I had a feeling we were going to come across an empty pack. If humans are going missing then the rogues have probably attacked the pack and are making their way to another one. We could be days behind them or weeks, we just didn't know. Lyric doesn't want to come across them even for a powerful witch they can be hard to overtake. There are only three of us so we would be outnumbered.
It took us about an hour until we came up on the pack. We would have to be very careful going across their border. If the pack was fine they could think we were here to cause problems. We drove into the borders and kept a look out as we drove to the pack house. Mom wasn't kidding when she said it was a small pack. The closer we got to the pack house the more we could see that it was really quiet, the chance of finding anyone becoming very slim. We reached the pack house and found six people outside. Three of them looked as though they were training, but stopped as soon as they saw our vehicle. We got out and stated walking over to them.
