On the other end, Alex was confused"what do you mean?"he asked.

Mariana chuckled"it's okay if you don't want me to know but I just want to thank you so much,I love you". Alex was more confused."where are you now?"he asked."at the hospital."she replied."wait there,am coming to pick you up"he announced.before Mariana could reject his offer,he had already ended the call.

Mariana had no other option but to wait for him,she was so happy,she had concluded that it was Alex that paid for her sister's treatment although she didn't tell him that she needed money to pay for her sister's treatment.she was the type of girl that kept her problems to herself,she didn't like bothering people but Alex always had a way of finding out her problems.

In a well furnished office,Alex is sitting down on his chair,a woman dressed corporately was standing before him,her arms outstretched, blood dripping from her veins.

After ending the call,he looked at the lady before him, seeing the sight of blood dripping from her veins made him thirsty again but he needed to pick Mariana from the hospital."This is all for today"he said clapping his hands which brought the lady back to reality.she was confused like"what was she doing in their CEO's office.she was still in a state of dilemma when Alex beckoned her smiling wickedly."come closer"he whispered seductively,his sea blue eyes staring intently at her.

The lady was trapped in his little act,she didn't know what happened but she found her legs moving towards him.

"Good girl"he said in a low voice grinning.Alex knew he was damn handsome and he knew what he had to do to lure the women he wants into his trap."now look at me in the eyes"he commanded and the lady obey immediately.

His eyes turned red,as Soon as his red eyes and the lady's eyes met,the lady was still,she couldn't move,it was like she was trapped in another dimension.

"Now this is what happened today,you were never in my office,you never saw me today,you are just a woman trying to earn money so you were working through out today,it was very stressful for you but you have to work so your salary will be paid,now be a good girl and continue your job."

After compelling her,the woman nodded like an obedient kid and walked out of his office.

Compelling people were special abilities the vampires possessed.it means making people to believe what you tell them, making them to abide by your rules.Alex enyoyed compelling humans, werewolves can't be compelled because they all drank an elixir making it impossible for them to be compelled.

Alex is a powerful vampire,the CEO of Ic corporation,a billionaire,he is also the half brother of Luke Cage,the son born out of Luke's mother infidelity but only supernatural beings knew this,humans were not aware that they were so siblings.He was a cunning man,a man who would do anything to get what he wants.He was also arrogant like Luke ,he was the only person who could match up to Luke but Luke was more stronger.

He was a ruthless being but he was a calm and gentle man when he was with Mariana.he loved her so much and he would do anything to make her happy.

As soon as the lady left, he pressed a button on his table and Jaden his right hand man who is also a vampire rushed inside his office."find out what happened at the hospital Mariana is in,find out about everything that happened in her life today at the hospital,I need it now"he ordered and Jaden walked out immediately from his office to perform the task given to him.

He signed,he could find the answer he needs from Mariana herself but he promised himself that he would never compel her.she was the woman he loved,he was madly in love with her,to him, compelling Mariana was like cheating her,he wanted their relationship to be normal,he didn't want to force her to do or say anything against her will.

Some minutes later, Jaden came in with a file and handed it over to Alex."you can go now".

He opened the file, taking out the document,he went through it and his eyes turned dark.he was angry and at the same time jealous.

"So,Ana,you needed money and you didn't tell me,a stranger even cleared your bills,a man who didn't identify himself"he chuckled."so some men want to steal you away from me now,I won't allow that"he said to himself.He took his car keys from the table and left his office.Jaden followed him immediately with the guards when they saw him walking out from his office."you can stay back with the guards,I want to go alone"he said to Jaden who nodded.

SUNSHINE HOSPITAL.

Mariana was now restless,"was Alex not coming again"she thought to herself.she was playing with her fingers when she inhaled a familiar scent.the scent of the man she wanted to spend the rest of her life with.

She looked up, standing before her was Alex,his face had no expression."hey "she greeted but Alex didn't reply.Mariana was confused.before she could utter another word,Alex held her wrist and dragged her out of the hospital."Babe,you are hurting me"."let go of me"

Alex dragged her into his car and locked the doors."what's wrong with you?"she asked but Alex was staring at her with a killer gaze,"did I......"before she could utter another word,Alex captured her lips with his and kissed her but Mariana didn't reciprocate,he bit her lips and she gasped making it easy for him to gain access into her mouth,he kissed her so passionately that Mariana reciprocated too,she grabbed his hair bringing and her fingers delved into it feeling the smooth texture of his hair.Alex moaned ,he loved it whenever she does that,he was already hard and he wanted to do more things to her,he slided his fingers underneath her skirt and rubbed her thighs, Mariana moaned in pleasure,he wanted to unzip her bra but Mariana pushed him away when she realized herself.

Mariana swatted his hand away"no need to apologize,you are a man after all,am not angry with you,am just angry at myself for letting my guard down."she said unlocking the door and went out of the car before Alex could reply her.

Immediately she left,Alex was so angry at himself,they have been dating for years but they never had s*x,the only thing they did was kissing, hugging, cuddling,she was still a virgin and he respected her for that,he promised her that he would never try to lure her into having sex.he hated it when Mariana was not happy.
