After the gathering everyone returned to their assigned polls. The top ranking students are the one’s guarding the main entrance as per the others they are scattered all over the place, and some are even roaming around
“Say you guys, we now know about the archangels and demon lords, but do you think it is even relevant to know such information?”
“I get the point but is it really that necessary?”
“I think Golpo might have forgot to tell some very important details earlier” Maximus said
“Why are you telling this now? Tsk!” Mark seems a bit annoyed
“The water spirit gave us time to speak up earlier and you are telling this now?” He ranted
“Sorry, but I was too hesitant to drop these queries” Maximus apologized with his head facing the ground
“Tsk!” Mark reacted with a pissed look on his face
“Chill bro” Tyrone said as he pats Mark’s shoulder
“Regarding the questions you just raised. I too have some queries of my own and you’re assumptions are correct and it is true that what the water spirit are lacking some certain aspects”
“Like how did they face the demon lords?”
“What are they capable of?”
“These questions should be the one that needs answering”
“Right now we only have a handful of information better use it at our disposal at least we are aware that such being exist” Tyrone said
“What if Ms. Sora is really a demon lord and she wasn’t unconscious earlier”
“Is there a chance that she might beat Sir Draxx then head here and murder us all?” A random student stated with a frightened look on his face
“Don’t worry dude if ever Sir Draxx loses I guarantee you that Ms. Sora would be badly injured so she won’t have the strength to surge this place” Mark confidently said
“And I think Sir Draxx has the advantage”
“Lightning is super effective against water, right? Or it doesn’t apply?” Maximus ask
“Oh yeah I haven't thought of that. Water does conduct electricity which means if Ms. Sora uses her gear, she will be at a disadvantage.” The same random student said
“Yeah dude so no need to worry okay”
“Besides even if Ms. Sora gets here I bet she can’t take three archangels at once plus our barricade is reinforce with magic so there is no need to worry” Tyrone motivatively said as he pats the student’s shoulder
“Shsss! Something’s coming” Maximus said as he covers the student’s mouth to prevent it from talking
“Something is above us and they are numerous” Maximus whispers
“No, not only that I can sense something in the air like three dozen of them” Mark said with a distressed look on his face
Tyrone immediately told everyone and started preparing for the worst. He orders every student to gear up, and Sarah summons Golpo back.
“Okay everyone ready?” Tyrone shouted which reached the back line
“Ready!” Everyone answered in chorus
Tyrone gives Maximus the signal to open the barricade. The stones started to fall one by one and the screech of the undead overwhelmed everyone
Mark takes the lead as he just from one stone to another and as soon as he saw what’s outside he was stopped from his tracks
“Max! Stop opening the barricade” Mark shouts
Tyrone and the other elemental users take a peek as well
“We are completely outnumbered”
“I think that’s ten thousand demons and undead all together” Mark said
“And they can even withstand the fire spell you casted to prevent unnecessary intrusions”
“Good thing Mark went ahead if he didn’t we’d be in a whole lot of trouble by now” Sarah said
“I just hope that Sir. Draxx and Ms. Sora are safe”
“Archangel or not, I think Sir. Draxx can’t fight them all while Ms. Sora is still unconscious” Tyrone said
“Everyone head back to the safe zone”
“Change of plans, we won’t intercept the intruders. Our numbers are no match against the enemy’s army”
“Head back now and we should restrategize” Tyrone ordered
“Well I’ll leave the fortification to you Max just head back to the safe zone once you’re done here”
“Laters” Tyrone said then he went on his way
Everyone also started heading back except for Mark who waited for Maximus to finish his task
“Why are you still here?” Maximus ask as he return the stones back to its place
“Waiting for you of course” Mark said with a smirk on his face
“You are waiting because?” Maximus wearily asked
“Duh to be your bodyguard”
“What if demons started infiltrating us while you moved those rocks?”
“Do you think you can handle an entire swarm on your own? I don’t think so” Mark boastfully said
“Fair point”
“Thank you” Maximus said
After Maximus placed all the stones back the two went on their way towards the safe zone. On their way their they heard something rustling which put their guard up
“Earth Creation Magic: Earth Spikes” someone casted then sharp rocks rose from the ground where Maximus and Mark were standing
With Mark’s speed they manage to evade the attack
“Over there!” Maximus shouted as he points at the ceiling
“Wind Destruction Magic” Mark was about to cast something but Maximus stopped him
“Are you crazy if you use that kind of spell here we would be in serious trouble”
“Refrain yourself” Maximus said
“You stop hiding inside the walls. I can sense where you are located”
“Show yourself” Maximus shouted in a threatening manner
“Yeah yeah” a voice said then a kid popped out of the wall
Upon seeing the kid Mark become full of himself and said
“A kid!” then he starts laughing at him
“Earth Creation Magic: Earth Bind” the kid cast then the ground tried trapping Mark’s feet but he manages to evade it
“Wind Destruction Magic: Wind Cutter” Mark unleashes three rushing winds while in mid-air
“Max go fetch help! I’ll stall him for a bit”
“Don’t worry I got this” Mark said with a smug look on his face
Wall of terrain then rose blocking the wind magic Mark casted
“Stay safe, okay. I’ll be back with back up” Maximus said then he quickly went on his way but a wall blocked his path. With a forceful punch he manages to bore through
“An earth magic user” the kid said with a smile on his face
“Stop daydreaming you’re in a middle of a fight” Mark said as he attacks the kid’s back and he manages to land a hit but something was off so he push the kid away then fall back
“What’s with that kid’s skin. My hand started to feel numb upon landing a hit on him”
“Did he reinforce himself with earth magic?”
“I better raise my threat level against him” Mark said to himself
“Why are you running away? Come play with me” The kid said with a mischievous look on his face
“Earth Destruction Magic: Shattering Earth” The kid cast then the ground starts to separate
With wind magic Marks starts to hover in the air avoiding the attack but huge chunks of rocks were heading straight for him
“Aerial Cutter!” Mark casted to slice up all the boulders heading straight at him but more boulders were thrown towards him
“You foolish mortal!”
“You can cast wind magic all you want but you’ll run out of mana eventually”
“You can stall all you want but no one is coming to save you”
“Beyond that wall are your so called allies being devoured by demons” the kids said with a playful tone
“Well I’ll just leave you here then. I am sure that you are not going anywhere”
“Say your last prayers weakling. I guarantee you that you won’t make out alive”
“Byeee!” the kids said with a teasing expression on his face. He even stick his tongue out for more annoyance
“Get back here!”
“I’m not done with you yet!” Mark shouted and he looks pissed
“Do you really want me to kill you know?”
“From where I am standing you look like a helpless kitten stuck on a tree”
“Buhu!” The kid teased while making a crying face
“Beside if I kill you know I can’t guarantee who will be Belphegor’s next host”
“So be a good boy and defend for your life”
“See yeah” The kid said then he slowly burrows himself to the ground
“Damn that kid!” Mark shouted
“What in the hell is this spell anyway?”
“Why are these rocks just keep on coming!” Mark getting frustrated
“Come on, think! What will Ty do in a situation like this?” Mark said as he scouts the area
A while back in the safe zone Tyrone and the others were in the middle of a discussion then suddenly chunks of rocks starts to fall from the ceiling and the water spirit has this uneasy look on its face
“Everyone drop! Enemies are here” Golpo shouted then the ceiling collapse on them
