Chapter 3: Gender reveal and baby names

Rayleigh's POVits February first and me and Jorden are headed to my gender revel sonogram we are so excited to see what we are having we are hoping for a boy and girl once we arrived at the doctors office we went in and waited to be called back once we were my doctor started the sonogram she spoke"would you like to know the gender of the babies?" my doctor asked "yes please" we spoke in unison and she smiled nodding freezing the sonogram in a specific spot then she spoke"baby A right here if you look you'll see that you have a little girl and baby B here is a boy as you can see this little line just below the umbilical cord" she spoke pointing it all out she left the room after we asked for the photos of the sonogram and we just sat there in silence for a few seconds before jorden spoke up"a little boy and little girl amazing" jorden smiled"i know i can't believe it it seems so unreal" i smiled back after we left the doctors office we went home to set up for the gender revels we blew up the balloons and put them in two boxes and set up some games to play before we did the revel once the party started we started playing games and everyone was having fun the last game came along and it was for everyone to guess what the gender is of each baby so we put out a white board with three sections labeled 'boy/boy , boy/girl , girl/girl' and each person put their name in the section they wanted to guess for "okay guys are you ready to find out if you were right?" i asked as jorden and i walked to the boxes"yes!" every cheered making us laugh we started with box A and counted down "3! 2! 1! Baby A is a Girl" we smiled hearing them cheer"3! 2! 1! Baby B is a Boy" Jorden smiled and everyone cheered again "what are their names?" Jordens mom Lisa asked "the girl is going to be Remington Nicole Anderson" i smiled"and the boy will be Oliver James Anderson" Jorden smiled "They're taking Jordens last name?" Sam asked"yeah why not?" i asked"just curious was all" Sam smiled hugging me-a few days later-today we are going to decorate the nursery and paint the walls so we are headed to the store to pick out paint and decorations "how about this teal color for Oliver and pink for Remington and for the wall colour do a light grey?" jorden said and i nodded we bought grey paint for the wall and then started buying the bedding and a few other odds and ends for the room next we went and started getting some diapers and clothes and wipes and bottles and formula as we were going to need it even with having a baby shower in 3 months-time skip-we just got home and we moved the cribs to the middle of the room and started painting the walls with the grey paint once that was done we let it dry before doing a second coat of paint the theme for the nursery overall is going to be woodland creatures mostly Foxes and Owls pink and purple for Remington and orange and teal for Oliver after we finished the nursery it was late so we decided to have dinner and watch a movie in the living room about halfway through the movie Jorden fell asleep and i fell asleep not long after he did.
