The End and the beginning.
"...and from this point forward, I'm no longer the same person I used to be. I'm not Athena Roy, daughter of the renowned cop, I'm just Athena, no one shall ever know where I came from, and where am I headed." With these words in my mind, I sighed as I stood at the entrance of Imperial College with my bag, and admission paper in hand.
It was a massive campus, lush green and looked rather colonial. It had British architecture since it existed from the time of their rule over the country. There stood almost 10 different buildings, spread across the whole area, each one devoted to a separate school of study. In the middle, there was a white-spired church which has a stone wall. There were several trees, some even older than me. Heapes of leaves were scattered here and there, it was the season of fall. Finally, I started walking towards the building that said "School of Business" in bold black letters on its front wall, to meet a certain Mr Oberoi, who had been handling my transfer from the previous college.
As I took a stroll towards the school, I could see people, some were in groups, some in couples, while other all by themselves. These people, some of them I'm seeing for the first and only time, yet are a part of the story of my life. I loved observing things around me, how each one has its own story, how everything is lost in its own world.
As I reached my school, I realized it was far different from my previous college. This one was much more royal, much fancier. The students were much ostentatious, and I wondered how will I survive almost two years in a place that is so different than my usual lifestyle. But I had to, I had no other option. I couldn't back out now.
I went to the reception and asked for Mr Oberoi.
"May I ask you for what purpose?" The receptionist asked. She had an English accent, something I'd expect from someone who works in college such as Imperial. It boasts of its international standards.
"I'm a new admission here, Ms Athena. He asked to ask for him once I'm here." I spoke the truth.
She muttered something on the phone and then directed me towards his office.
As I walked through the corridors, I saw the walls adorned with accolades of its students. Imperial was one of the best colleges in the state. Children of most billionaires came to study here.
I knocked on the door once I reached the said room. The nameplate said "Arvin Oberoi"
