Agleria's POV
“R-right now?”
The words escaped my lips before I could stop them. My heart hammered wildly against my ribs. I never expected Levious to demand the fulfillment of our wedding vows in the early hours of the morning.
“There are no official laws regulating the timing of this, Luna. And my schedule tonight might be heavily occupied.”
I swallowed hard with great difficulty. My throat suddenly felt as dry as a desert.
“Y-yes, King Levious.”
“Levi,” he cut in sharply, his voice deep and raspy. “Call me Levi when we are alone.”
I nodded again, trying to get used to the nickname that felt so intensely intimate. “Yes, Levi. But... I have to remove all these hairpins and this heavy dress first, so—”
“Go ahead.”
I immediately stepped toward the dressing table, burying myself in the mirror's reflection to hide the crimson flush burning my cheeks. My trembling hands began to pull the silver pins from my hair one by one. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see Levi’s silhouette moving behind me. Without a shred of awkwardness, he stripped off his soiled combat armor down to his shorts, then walked casually into the bathroom.
“This damn dress is so difficult,” I cursed silently after several minutes had passed.
Both of my hands, reaching blindly behind my back, began to grow numb. Before I could complain again, a pair of remarkably large, warm hands suddenly appeared in the mirror's reflection. It was Levi's right hand. With a slow but deliberate motion, he helped lower the zipper of my dress. However, his fingers didn't pull away immediately. His calloused skin, hardened from years of gripping sword hilts, intentionally brushed against the line of my spine, sliding slowly down to my waist.
“Speak up if you need help, Luna,” he whispered near my ear.
I gripped the edge of the dressing table, trying to find oxygen for my suddenly tightening lungs. “Le-Levi... Can I clean myself up in the bathroom for a moment? I—”
“Your body already smells like a field of flowers, Luna. You don't need to bathe.” Levi stared at me straight through the reflection, his eyes as cold as ice and as flat as a stone wall. “I don't have much time. Lie down on the bed, and let's see if destiny sides with us to conceive a son today.”
“Y-yes.”
With movements that felt agonizingly slow, I dragged my feet toward the massive bed in the center of the room. I lay flat on my back, pinning my legs and arms stiffly to the sides of my body. Every nerve in my body tensed, anchoring my gaze to the ceiling, able only to wait for the Lycan King's next instruction.
“I can't unhook your undergarments and shorts with only one hand,” Levi murmured, now standing at the edge of the bed. He looked down at me, then glanced at his left arm, which hung lifelessly at his side. “Can you do it yourself for me, Luna?”
My face instantly felt like it was on fire upon hearing that. “Y-yes. Sure.”
It took only a few seconds before there wasn't a single thread left on my body. The morning air drifting through the c***k in the window felt incredibly piercing, making me shiver. Instinctively, I hugged myself tightly and crossed my legs, trying to find a shred of warmth and a shield for my naked dignity.
“I am your husband. You don't need to hide anything from me,” Levi said.
The man was now wearing nothing but a white towel wrapped around his lean waist. From my lying position, I could clearly see the perfectly sculpted contours of his core muscles, his broad chest marred by scars of battle, and the prominent veins bulging along his right arm.
He climbed onto the bed, positioning his imposing frame directly over me. His gaze locked onto my terrified, curled-up posture. “Do you still feel guilty or regretful about doing this with me?”
I bit my lower lip so hard it throbbed, then shook my head slightly. “I... I don't think so.”
“Then why is your body still as stiff as a board?” Levi leaned down, his massive right hand moving to clasp both of my wrists, pinning them above my head so I could no longer hide. “Relax, Agleria. I will treat you gently this morning. Isn't a real marriage what you wanted?”
We locked eyes in silence for a few seconds. I didn't have the courage to answer his question, as his intense gaze completely trapped my voice.
“This is also my first time touching a woman in my life, Luna.” Levi’s voice dropped lower, his warm breath fanning across my face. “But I will let the instincts of a grown wolf guide everything. I expect you to do the same.”
“Y-yes, Levi.”
The corner of the man's lips tugged upward, forming a faint smirk that felt foreign yet intoxicating. “Good, Luna."
A few hours later, my eyelids felt incredibly heavy as they slowly blinked open. My body was plagued by an overwhelming exhaustion. The memories in my mind spun in a blur, reminding me of how that intense ritual had finally stopped. I didn't know if my childish behavior had angered him, because my head had been spinning so violently before I lost consciousness entirely.
“Ah... my whole body feels shattered.” I groaned softly as I tried to shift my weight.
The side of the bed next to me was already cold and empty. My eyes scanned every corner of the spacious room, searching for my husband's tall silhouette, but there was no sign of him.
I was completely drained of energy. I hadn't slept all night preparing for the wedding ceremony, only to be met with Levi's relentless demands without a moment to breathe. It was no wonder I had succumbed so deeply to sleep.
With what little strength I had left, I tried to sit up on the edge of the bed. My voice sounded raspy as I called out to the silent room, “Where is he?”
There was no reply. My hand reached down, pulling up the thick white blanket that had slipped to the floor, wrapping it tightly around my bare body.
Looking at the gleam of light outside the window, I realized that day had already turned into night. “Maybe Levi went to see the royal advisor for throne matters,” I guessed internally.
The moment my feet touched the floor and I tried to take a step, a sharp, biting pain shot directly through my thighs. I winced in pain, forced to take small, dragging steps toward the bathroom so the ache wouldn't rip through my body again.
My steps halted right in front of the large mirror mounted on the side of the white bathroom cabinet. I froze, staring at my own reflection. “My hair is a complete mess.”
Without a comb anywhere near the sink, I was forced to smooth my tangled, long hair using my fingers. However, my movements suddenly locked as my gaze dropped to my neck and upper chest. Scattered across my pale skin were stark, reddish marks—brutal marks of ownership left behind by Levi.
I touched the flush with my fingertips, feeling the faint warmth that still lingered. “All these marks... make me look shameful.”
