"Are you gaining weight?" She asked, her lips on the can, studying me as if I were a school project.
I sighed, my appetite suddenly fading. I was already slightly overweight, but with the amount of food I was consuming, it was only a matter of time before I would need larger clothes.
"I have a theory about your new condition," she mused, her eyebrows furrowed as she scrutinized me with narrowed eyes.
"Condition?" I asked, my hand once again reaching for the pizza box.
She merely nodded and stood up. She fetched something from her small backpack, which she had left on the couch, and returned holding a small rectangular box from the pharmacy.
